In the early 1970's I saw Queen supporting Mott The Hoople in the Caley Cinema in Edinburgh.

Mott The Hoople and then Ian Hunter, Hunter/Ronson and the Rant Band were and remain brilliant.

Quite like a couple of Queen tracks.

Isn't most negro music churned out by Americans?

I don't like much rap music and the stuff I do is very old school (Run DMC, LL Cool J etc) and I can't abide any of that gangsta sh.ite. Motherf.ucking this Motherf.ucking that, blah blah blah my nigga, blah blah blah bitches, blah blah blah she's a Ho etc etc.

And our contribution to this genre? Grime and Drill with pish like Stormzy.

Some of the best rock music has come from the States, pretty much undeniable but you don't have to like any of it. Each to their own, and I don't mean incest.

My fav. American 'rock' bands/artists through the years:

    The Byrds
    CSN &Y.
Mountain - still my best concert in the early 1970's.
    Alice Cooper
Nils Lofgren/Bruce Springsteen/ Little Steven/Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers/Bob Seger.
    The Black Crowes
    Cheap Trick/REM
    Drive-By-Truckers
    SonVolt/The Jayhawks/Sons Of Bill

I have probably missed out some which will pop into my bonce in due course.

Just had a look around the racks and fingered the piles of CD's lying about my living room; could add another thirty or so bands/solo artists from North America whose music I love.

The O'Jays, Funkadelic, Isley Brothers, Kool and The Gang, Earth Wind & Fire etc

ps Some great guitarists in among that lot but they tend to get overlooked because they're in soul/funk bands rather than rock bands.
