it's a shame, a lot of us could easily have fallen into that if we were bought up in inner city london. I will reserve me fullest sympathies for the more innocent though as at the end of the day, his own actions have helped contribute to his downfall. I obviously don't know him enough but he could very easily have been on the other end where he takes the life (if my assumptions are correct).

It’s the usual 60’s and 70’s built maze of dark alleys, hidden corners, usual lights, lifts, etc that don’t work. There’s obviously a lot of gang related activity goes on down there as we’ve seen from the amount of recent stabbings an shootings in that area.
Most of the violence does appear to be black on black. But there’s all sorts live down there. Several Asian gangs too.

It feeds on itself. Kids are born there, as soon as they’re able to they want to play with other kids. Here they get hit upon by older kids who tell em how easy it is to make money, why bother with school - It’ll get you nowhere but a dead end job, etc. Next thing they’re runnng drugs for the big kids on their bikes. The little ****ers get so good on these bikes and know their patch so well that they can shank another kid and disappear in seconds through the estate. The pressure to join a gang is tremendous, and probably the only way to offer yourself some protection. On your own your fair game for anybody. One thing leads to another and.....
County Lines. The gangs send these kids out into the counties to sell more junk. They’re probably not given too many choices in the matter.
Something is seriously ****ed when a 14 year old lad is targeted by a rival gang presumably for selling gear in their manor ? I don't know I haven't read the story. But this is the reality for yoot growing up in deprived inner cities. You're either part of gang culture or you're subjected to it, so I can see why a lot of kids want to try and get the upper hand and be respected in a gang and make some P, rather than be at the bottom of the pile. It's seriously ****ed though.
I live in London so see this **** 1st hand and trust me there's a ****ing really really good chance if he's 14 running around on a ped then he's up to no good. Yeah it's a shame, but as I said before it's one less ****stain who could have and most definitely would have (if not already - hence the retaliation) hurt someone else. Meh
