Catterick 3.15 Lostock Hall 10/1 ew. Good ground seems to be the key to this one and he gets it tomorrow. His handler Tristan Davidson has only 16 horses in training but he has had 9 winners from 26 runners this season. Baratineur is a fairly warm favourite in the race but though he could be thrown in on his current mark he has only 1 win from 21 visits to the track so is hardly prolific. Good luck everyone.

Morning, team. Nothing for me today but amazing entry in the ‘Pertemps Qualifier’ (more plots than an Agatha Christie novel and all that…) at Warwick on Saturday. Old boy Blaklion amongst the entries. No idea if they will go at the weekend or if the Final will be his GN prep (like it was for Pineau De Re a few years back). Not tipping Blaklion though as he’s already on 152 and a win at the weekend would promote him onto a huge perching – the last thing you would want in the Final. Maybe it will be a 6th placing and a ratings reduction if he does go to Warwick. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more… Good luck all.

I noticed that Barney...I expect a half decent spin..rating will come down and then on for a semi decent prep at Cheltenham before all eyes firmly fixed on the big one - the Grand National! I see him running a big race in it this year... very unlucky last year as got brought down at the first and year before finished 4th. The media hasn't been as focused on Blacklion this year just how NTD likes it..

WTF was Hayley doing on him, you could see something was amiss with the horse very early on!! To give it a smack too- she will be in a lot of trouble for that!! Wasn’t great to watch!
