Why no questions on the stadium being made to look tacky with all the Sports Direct boards

Surely you can guess his answer for that?

I am still really angry about this. The keyboard warriors on the chronicle site have missed a trick. No surprise though with the stupidity regularly seen on there.

Not only do most of these questions have the same response, but most have been answered by the board in recent months. Carroll money, transfer policy, level 7 and the way the window panned out. Why ask these questions, you may think the previous answers were "LIES LIES LIES" but the club aren't going to weaken their stance by all of a sudden changing their tack.

Everyone is so desperate to satisfy their own daft obsessions they've wasted a prime chance to undermine Llambias and question Ashley. Pointless exercise, an easy day for the clubs PR machine, doubt they could have made it easier of they tried...

It would have been so much better if there'd been a meeting and and the questions had been answered spontaneously rather than them sitting down and being able to go over them with each other and be advised on how to answer them.

Defo but that carries too much risk for them. In saying that they'd still prepare a load of stock answers! I think the only one you have hope of getting an answer to, is about his pie habits. Just how do Greggs measure up against your favourite Pukka Pies Mike? Rate them on pastry, filling and how much they satisfy your pie love.

I'd agree with this, but, I appear to be in the minority with regards this exercise .. the one major complaint everyone has is around communication .. all of the questions, all of the perceived lies, the lack of trust, all of the rumour mongering, all of the frustration is down to this one issue.. this is a small step, a very small step, but it is a step forward ..

We criticise the press releases, we criticise the managers for 'lying', we criticise the silence and we're now criticising the club answering questions that have been asked to be answered by NUFC fans (through whatever majority system the Chronicle employed to filter this) .. in my opinion the club is taking this approach due to the current level of frustration and feeling .. even if one or two new pieces of information come out it should be seen as positive (although I suspect it will simply be lambasted as lies, lies and more lies regardless)

I really must get rid of these rose tinted glasses, they're playing havoc with my cynicism gene .. <ok>

supposedly the questions being asked to the board are the ones via this link:

    http://www.fansonline.net/newcastleunited/article.php?id=994

here they are for those of you that can't be arsed to follow the link...

    1. Since the disollution of the supporters panel there has been no vehicle to canvas supporters opinion and give the board direct access to the fans. What steps, if any, are being taken to rectify this, what format would any replacement take and how would members be selected?

    2. Is the stadium rebranding of "Sportsdirect.com@St James's Park"still, as was originally claimed, a showcasing exercise to demonstrate the possibilities to other potential sponsors or is it now a fully fledged sponsorship arrangement? If so what actual benefit does NUFC gain from this?

    3. Why, given the amount of time the club has had to identify potential striking target since receiving £35million for Andy Carroll, is the club hiding behind a statement citing there would be no knee jerk reactions"? Surely over 200 days was more than enough time to recruit an essential addition to the team that everyone from the manager down over has asked for yet it seems has been failed to deliver.

    4. Given that players have been criticised by the club for their actions in both how they act and behave socially and in their use of social networking, how does the board of NUFC respond to pictures released at the weekend of the owner undressing in public and how will the club be able to explain their moralistic stance towards a number of issues that inevitably arise with players and their social lives in the light of this?

personally i think these are better than the one in the OP but they still don't make mention of the 5yr plan which i'd like to hear about.

Waste of time to be fair, they'll just sprout up their usual load of rubbish to try and gain credibility before going into hiding for the next 2 years again. Exact same situation happened upon relegation.

Better worded questions .. hopefully in addition to those that were mentioned in the OP ..

Not sure question 4 is relevant though .. just seems like an argumentative poke with a stick ..

All good questions but I doubt we'll get much out of it. Everyone to their own though and if people really want to believ that they are in it for the long term, then this should be viewed as a positive step by the club. they get criticised for their lack of communication, those who do so should not now be calling it a pointless exercise as well. Me I just don't have any time for them and just await the time they leave.

I will enjoy however question 4 which I'm personally glad someone has asked. As I said on the thread regarding those pics, I think it is very poor for owners and/or directors to be pictured like this, and it has undoubtedly brought the club some unwanted bad press. I also like the fact that they have also reminded them they like to take the moral high ground with players and that this is no different.

A question that might have produced an interesting answer is:

"Are the clubs totalt outstanding debts lower than they were as at 30 January 2011, and if so to whom and in what amounts have debts been repaid ?"

Might actually have given us an idea what has happened to funds received for transfers

will some of this info not be available to the public anyway? do they not have to release financial docs to be viewed by the public each year?

As a few have pointed out the majority of the questions are the same. You'd be better off asking him/them "what shape would chairs be if our legs bent the other way?"
