yes you are correct that Micheal douglas might be considered in a new phase despite his illness however i messed up even bigger. I meant kurt russel another is robert de niro... his forray into comedy form what he started out doing means he's banging out terrible movies and trading on his fame nicely. But then the mama mia films (truely awful) has the same going on.
I haven't got a favourite female actor - I can't think of one who'd make me want to rush out and watch a film.
Certainly less but you always see the same older actresses. - Meryl Streep - judi dench - cate blachette
Rightly or wrongly, a lot of younger women get their roles because of their looks. If they lose them as they age then it helps if they can actually act. Helen Mirren is another who could always get work. Very sexy when she was younger, got her kit off a lot, but can act as well. A lot of male actors are popular because of their sex appeal (so I'm told), but don't seem to suffer so much as they get older. Sean Connery always had appeal even though he was a lousy actor. Tom Cruise still gets work even though he can't act to save his life - unless the character description is "smug bastard". Tbf fair to TC, he's a good physical actor, but he doesn't interpret or convey character at all, imo. Star quality and acting talent are two very different things.
"not to offend anyone" & "drool" in the same post Hawking didn't dare take up the offer since AB actors kill to play crips as it nearly always gets them in the awards season.plus he was , strangely, considered unsuitable for the younger AB Stephen Hawking.
the bit where both not wanting to offend and drool are in same post is true.. but... means well it's not inaccurate.
Just for the record, I've already lost count, but I doubt I was going to hit 1000 anyway, I've slowed down the last three days.
seriously no one wants to watch reality as it is a) boring b) very long c) full of contadictions d) and in the case of severe disability uncomfortable to watch for many plus tends to play more on the "interests" of the AB community than the viewpoint of disabled people.
I always thought that the 'minorities' wanted to be treated the same as anybody else? Therefore no special treatment, get whatever job you apply for on merit and not on your minority status.
