Just so hard to hang on to races from the front at Newcastle, if a horse manages to do it then they are probably very well handicapped. We shall see in a few minutes.
Just had a quick look at result and apologies if anyone followed. Major disappointment. Luckily I left it alone.
Fascinating 3yo Novice event. Top trainers sending well-bred young horses up to Newcastle at this time of year must be saying something. The top 4 are bred well enough to win classics and must be running to either show whether they are worth keeping or because their trainers believe they are stars of tomorrow and need this experience. The favourite is from one of the best Juddmonte families but as a winner has to give 7lbs to Haggas's Sea the Stars colt who is from the same family (same granddam) as Golden Horn and Cracksman. So it's Sparkle in his Eye for me.
Zip in the next, held up behind a good pace and the jolly will be vulnerable if his handicap mark isn’t fairly lenient
WD Nassau. Had strong word for it, put it in my L15 posted earlier. The word for Outrage in the 5.15 was equally strong.
By the way, one of the WH radio chappies tipped Servo W 14/1 in the 4.10, and he goes for Atletico as second leg of his double in the 5.15. 15/2 in 2 places.
Yeah what's so funny about that? As it happens wise move. I was just relaying the info to you guys... I think I have mentioned several times on here I don't do midweek betting..exception the big meetigs - festival etc. Good to maintain some discipline.. .
No problem. For info - if putting on a bet I make it clear I have put on a bet. . 95% of these posts will be Saturday's only.
Last one of the night is Wiff Waff in the last, looks overpriced and needs to be delivered a bit later tonight than lto
I watched the race. To me squire needs a strong pace to run up to they dawdled. With Morris looking round for someone to take it up and when they did squire doesn’t have the turn off foot. Now I know Morris is one of the aw kings but for me surely if nobody wants to take it up you make your own pace and it you get beat so be it. At least you’ve run your own race. I thought it was a poor ride and that’s pocket talk.
Set Piece, with his penalty, won this well with no excuses for my beaten 2nd. A Dansili colt, from Zafonic's family, Hugo Palmer may have himself a useful colt for this summer. Still looked to have bags of improvement in him. Don't forget the 2nd though.
