Domestic cups are a mug's game. PGMOL can ruin you with one #bentasfuck decision. Harder for them to do it over 38 games and they're not allowed to ref us in Europe.

Rotherham have a relegation fight to focus on. Wolves are safely above bottom half #nomarks like Everton.

    Hang on a moment.

    Lets be clear.

city didn't just make "8 changes"

city played a front 3 thats played during the year together.

Mahrez and sterling have been rotating all season with sane. that is a "change" but not anywhere nearcomparible with playing jones for example

They played jesus for ageuro.. well guess what thats their regular change and when ageuro was out jesus played.

Whats klopp done with sturridge recently?

    and this is important now.

    5th December plays 90mins v burnely (pretty ****)
sits on bench for 3 games
plays 21 mins as sub v newcastle
    sits on bench for arsenal
plays all of 4 mins v city.

so.... in a month he got 25mins of football.

    now origi
he played 66 minutes v burnley and nothing since.

he played a sum total of 72 minutes of first team football all season (scoring 2 goals btw)

    so........

there you go... "changes" sounds great.

But one might ask.. maybe as we were on this great run since beating burnley 3-1 and we hammered side after side what was klopp doing to use these two players more and save the legs of firmno and salah and mane?

Did klopp just put on shaqiri more? was he bothered?

We didn't lose because Wolves bypassed ffp - they were bordering on garbage themselves. We lost because we didn't play with any kind of style, energy, tactics or desire.

This is what I meant by the arrogance to think we are on the same level as City squad wise.We can match them on 2 fronts but not 4.

    Whats matching them?

Given we were not playing city in the 3rd round....

City expect to be in all 4 finals (well.... not really but they expect to try to be)

All we are saying here, or at least from my side is respect the competition and play to win, not to send out a scratch side with no shape and autuomatically lose 3 years running)

If we lost 0-2 last night trying our best I wouldn't be annoyed.

But if that scratch team had a sensible formation plus some effort from certain players we would probably have won as Wolves were almost as bad as us <yikes>

Even the way it was we win most days. It was only an individual error and a worldie that put them ahead.

They may and most likely have beaten Wolves but it would have been a tad more difficult than Roth.... and City tbf to Astro isn't exactly the best example out of the teams I posted. We all know they literally have 2 11's that could compete comfortably in the PL.

The other 3 teams might have found it more difficult to beat Wolves though.

I'm talking a bit of perspective here.

Did Klopp treat it with disdain? Yes.

Did he actually do anything other than use the squad to rest his best players ?...no.

Did the others do the same? Yes.

The fact we lost is making us the poster boys for others to criticise... it's just silly.

Our fans. .if they do feel cheated is a separate subject and I believe Klopp has to answer them as they pay their money in some form or other and he puts big capital on them doing their bit.

Otherwise .... other than not liking any Liverpool team playing **** I would have made the same decision tbh ...

If au was a travelling fan and had seen that teamsheet I would have been pissed off. Always expect a bad game/performance during a season so can accept that. Bit ticket, travel and possible time off work for a reserve side in cup??!!

Isn't that the same year that we were nearly 30 points clear of Everton in December? <laugh>

    subs in last 5 games

    City
    Fabinho on
    shaqiri on
    sturridge on very late

    arsenal
    clyne on
    shaqiri on (mane)
    henderson for windy

    newcastle
    Clyne
    fabinho
    sturridge

    wolves
    clyne
    lallana
    wijnaludm

    utd
    shaqiri
    henderson

so... what does that tell you?

Klopps got no faith in sturrdige or origi but he then waffled about rhythm constantly without actually giving them time on the pitch

Klopps been using clyne to rest full backs, one of fabinho or windy as midfield sub and one forward sub per game... usually shaqiri on for mane or firmino

    Compare that to city.

mahrez v shaqiri.... one is used in rotation, one is used as back up to front 3 and in mifield v **** teams.
Jesus v sturridge. one is highly rated but sturridged for goals but was back by manager the other is daniel sturrdige
Sterling was kept in side up front. We played origi who started a game for 2nd time and made a total of 5 appearances all year.

Debruyne comes in we play milner
gundogan clear reserve. we play kieta another clear reserve
