I may be wrong but the reports all said it was a loan with an option for an 8m purchase at the end?? Nothing certain about it but that's what I read in a number of places
I believe that comment about an option was later discounted. What I can't understand is why some people are saying it was a mistake in the negotiations not going for an 8m option to buy. There are two sides to any negotiation. I am sure, although Arsenal no longer require him, they know he is a good asset for a future sale. So just maybe it was them that said they wouldn't include such a clause in the loan contract. Our negotiating team may then have though it better to have his services for the season and then take our chances in trying to sign him next summer.
Strange how football is like sex - you keep a clean sheet when you don't score. Correction: they're the opposite. In football, you keep a clean sheet when the others don't score. With sex, you keep a clean sheet when YOU don't score. Sorry about the mistake. It's just been so long (in time, I mean. )
We need to get at Terry on saturday got ruffed up a bit by morrison last night. Didnt like it and it nearly paid off for wales!
