A right footer on the right wing, what ever next!! Made a huge difference to Morata as well. We should give CHO a run and a chance to prove himself.
What a bonus it would be if he continued to play and got the best out of Morata?.... We'd be mad to let him go.Think i'd rather sell Hazard.
Unless Hazard commits his future to us ,I'd also work on building the team without him. Willian and Pedro are getting towards the end anyway, with Pulisic and Hudson Odoi we'd be looking good for a few years. Interesting as soon as Bayern come in for Odoi, Sarri announces he's now "ready to fight Willian and Pedro for a starting place." Just a week ago Sarri was saying Odoi was not ready. Funny how quickly he changed his opinion.
As far as Hazard is concerned, I think Sarri just needs to sit him down and say "Look, do you want to stay or not?" if not, then we sell him this summer for as much money as possible so that we can reinvest that money into the squad and pick up a striker and a creative midfielder. I am happy either way, to be honest, I just want the "Will he? Wont he?" bollocks to end, theres little that is more irritating than that **** when it comes to want-away players.
Very good prospect. Had him since he was 7. Represented England at under 19. Been in the first team squad this season and looks like he might just start to breakthrough. That is until we inevitably sell him this month to Bayern because he wont extend his contract. A touch frustrating.
This is going to keep happening because we never give our youth a chance. They are not going to stay with us if they are never gonna get a sniff of first team action, and who could blame them?
Exactly. Similar problems with Traoure and Solanke plus decent fringe players like Salah, De Bruyne and Lukaku who have gone on to much better things. Until we keep faith with a manager and give them time and support, we're going to just continue to rely on a small group of 15 or so players and buy readymade replacements for them when need be because managers with us cant take risks. That was all well and good before the likes of City, United and Liverpool could spend as much and more than us. Said it earlier this week, but what is the sense in losing CHO for 35 million and spending 60 odd on someone else's youth prospect? Christensen and RLC will be next.
On the face of it if I was a kid at Chelsea I would severely doubt my prospects going forward. I think it will take time for that philosophy to change. The regular changing of manager doesn't hep the cause
alright calm down sunshine. KDB and Salah are absolute class. Lukakus far better than any striker we have here (except hazard false 9) but he was a big fish in a small pond at everton and except his first season at united, he's been pretty average (and still can't control a ball). Traore and solanke have moved onto better things (meaning they have played more minutes than here) but he's doing okay at Lyon, but nothing to really bat an eyelid for and solanke has 1 goal in 19 for Liverpool so the less said the better
yup that doesn't help. He seems to have it all Hudson, athletic, was smashing it in the reserves and can dribble and has the confidence to try things and can cross the ball (not a fan of his shooting so far). the sum of money asked for him is outrageous for someone who hasn't really played but pedro is 34 and will need to be moved on. Willians level has really dropped off since Mourinho (even when he was under conte i wasn't much of a fan compared to when he was under jose) and has hit 30. Hazard is our only classy winger and even then i actually prefer him as a false 9 as i think he wonders too much for a winger and doesn't have the same energy levels as salah whom klopp indulges and has firmino to carry out the donkey work. We should really keep him and develop him and pulisic as our long term wingers
My point was less about how well Traore and Solanke and doing now, and more about how they were highly rated youngsters at the time who moved because they felt they wouldn't get a chance with us. I agree neither have set the world alight since and that may turn out to be the case with CHO, but doesn't bode well for future youth players. Clearly we are struggling to keep the promising ones because they've seen what happens. Bertrand, Ake and Challobah are others who felt they had to leave. Imagine we'd have had Mbappe in our youth set up instead of Monaco.....would he have broke through or left to get a chance elsewhere?
We're also talking about a kid who has been on our books for 11 years. It'll be tragic to lose him just as he's starting to look the part. We've been desperate for a player to come through since Terry. Can't believe it's been that long!
I know he only has 18 months left on his contract and he wants to leave but I think Chelsea should keep him he's going to be a top player. If you keep him and play him regularly I'm sure he will relent and sign a new deal. Huge mistake selling him he's good now he's going to be excellent in the future but typical Chelsea letting young quality talent leave. Loftus Cheek will be next to go.
Yep, followed shortly after by Christensen and Ampadu. There is no future at Chelsea for any of our youth players. Any who show promise will run their contracts down and shoot through, and why would you blame them. I think we only bought Pulisic to up our profile in the US. He might well go the way of Miaza. Not convinced at all he is as good as expected. Even if he is, without a decent midfield, he'll look like Hazard, frustrated and starved of service. We keep letting good prospects go and buying overrated expensive tosh like Morata, Jorghino, Barkley, Drinkwater, zappacosta, Giroud, Moses . The only way to judge them is in OUR 1st team, not Aston Villas, Newcastles or Brightons. Our problem is lack of planning, lack of direction, and lack of people with football brains in positions of power.
