Oh, well in that case we are violently agreeing! Seriously though, they never have been good enough and thankfully, they'll be gone soon enough.
You have just said what I was aiming at with Astro, we were quite pleasing on the eye (entertaining) as you say but we were crap at winning and went down These kids have no idea what football is about As for arrogant at that time
we got what we deserved...nothing. I don't mind the team losing if they give it a go. we were so poor. Klopp got this completely wrong. but full credit to Wolves, they played well and are through to the next round.
Seriously?, your opinion disappoints me Diego, you and I and anyone else around at the time knows that Pearson, Hill, Coppel etc thought they were the dogs bollocks when they signed for and played for Man U, but in reality they scraped an FA Cup and won a 2nd Division title. So the arrogance was misplaced and short lived, if in doubt check the amount of time the relegated players were at the club after promotion.
and by may it could be 3rd or 4th and out in qf. today was a miserable excuse for a game and pathetic. you only get so many mulligans in football. that's 3 times klopps done this now. he win big danger of becoming the nearly man. if he doesn't deliver the title this season imo it'll turn downhill
You have just lost two on the trot and there is still almost half a season to go I was referring to the "entertaining" bit, it only goes so far when you are doing nothing with it. It's quite funny that certain teams supporters aren't fussy about being knocked out of a competition once they have been knocked out yet, wave the trophy for that comp in their honours list when bragging
I don’t mind losing a game if we give it a go. Or even put out a team that has a chance to go through to the next round. The team right at the outset had little chance. Klopp surely couldn’t have underestimated Wolves yet he still put out a side like that. Already we have the media talking about back to back defeats. Brighton was already a big match. It is now massive. We just cannot afford any draws never mind defeats.
Well I'm being honest here and I'd appreciate if you are also, I think because since our last league title win we've won 7(8 without checking)domestic cups, a Uefa Cup and a Champions League without getting relegated we(the fans)are in the zone, you surely can't compare both as equal. Anyway, time to go for me, night lads(,and you wishi if you're lurking).....gone!
even if lovren didn't get injured playing fabinho at cb was a massive issue. Camacho was so far forward it was ridiculous as well wolves were actually really really poor as well. thry should look at what they had to play and hang their heads 16 year old at cb?? 17 year old at left midfield 18 year old at right back who s a right winger.. cm at cb. Moreno... like.... how did they only score 2 and be a hair from 2-2 and a replay.
Far better teams than tonight's lost back to back CL games in Belgrade and Paris. They still did what they needed in the PL and got out of the group. Tonight's game has nothing to do with Brighton. It was already as big a game as it ever could be, and I doubt the likes of Alisson and Van Dijk will be #worried about how their performance will be affected by what a 4th choice lineup does against Wolves in the Wembley Mortgage Cup.
Who cares what they say? They have to write something. Everyone knows that tonight's game has no bearing on what happens at the weekend. Apart from picking up another injury.
Let’s hope you are right. On a purely rational basis, there shouldn’t be any link . The two matches are completely different and so are our two teams. But we all know that football and results of matches very often defy any rationality.
It was the senior players who let us down yesterday: Mignolet - whilst he do anything wrong as such, his performance showed us the importance of the ‘little’ things that Alisson does so well e.g coming off the line quickly, command of the box, distribution. Fabinho comes out with credit. Put in a good performance in an unusual position. Most likely we will see him next to VVD against Brighton. Milner - player in a different position today and it showed. Truly Awful. Keita - only 23 but I class him as a senior. Again, not a poor showing as such but we expect more from him. The glimpses are there but he needs to take more responsibility. He’s not been helped by injuries and klopp playing him out wide. Needs to be more central and needs to be alongside Gini and Fabinho. Shaqiri - ineffective out wide. Perked up once Mo and Bobby came on because there was movement ahead of him. Sturridge - proved again that we can’t afford to start him in games. Origi - to be fair, he did try and he scored a cracking goal. But not much else to talk about
well I hope these senior players enough the warm weather training klopp prob had already booked in Malaga for the 4th round tie date. imagine putting thst **** show in and getting rewarded with a sun holiday eh?
And also - Klopp doesn’t NEED to win the title after throwing the FA Cup. We need to prioritise competitions accordingly because we simply don’t have a big enough squad. We are having the best start to a season EVER. 4 points clear at the top. We’re through to the next stages of the CL, and playing against a declining Bayern side. Appreciate the desire to win trophies and I’m sure we will pretty soon but we need to remain focus on the bigger job at hand. We already have around 8 players who are on track to break their career records for mins/games played. Going out of the cup saves us potentially 600 extra mins of game time and gives us extra 18 days of recovery time. (Stats from Sports Scientist Simon Brundish) As I say, we need to focus on the league.
