A few days ago Burnsy, Adkins and others were talking about the owners funding a promotion push. Adkins himself said he's spent a few days with them and everything was positive. Now it looks like reality has set back in. They'll be no promotion push. If we're lucky we'll replace Keane and Elphick. But that's not bolstering the squad is it, that's using the wages freed up by 2 players leaving and not spending a penny more.
Adkins has lost out on 2 transfer targets. By the end of the window he will probably miss out on 100 transfer targets. Just like every other club in the league during the transfer window.
Tbh i posted on the outgoings thread on Friday that i would believe it when i saw it after the tweet came out re the Allams funding a promotion push. Total bollox .. these fkrs take cheap to the next level .. they couldn't lie straight in bed .. they have rolled off this same shyte for the past 5 transfer windows .. it still surpises me that some actually fall for it tbh, including Adkins. The only legacy this pair of twats are creating is of a greedy pair of shysters trying to wring out as much as they can while lying through their teeth. If i shook hands with either of them I'd be counting my fingers afterwards such is the distrust i have for these two scum.
Given their knowledge of the scum at the helm of this club i doubt either would come anywhere near us.

Lets be right here, the Allams haven't come out and said they're going to have a little flutter to try to win promotion - this is just Burns and the HDM quoting unnamed sources who are hinting that this may be the case. All we've got is the usual pre-transfer window bollocks, bollocks which is put out to titillate and tease those who don't know any better ..... nothing's happening, players are going/have gone and they'll be replaced with the cheapest replacements that the poor sap Darnborough can find. We'll have a team, Nige will get em playing to their best and we'll end up where were meant to end up.

A thin squad has already been made slimmer by the two we have lost. We need four players and that is a fact. We can’t rely on the young lads coming straight into a first team when injuries bite. That does not aid their development at all. I completely disagree with some posters who think that if we sell players then that money will be invested in the team. There is no evidence in the past transfer windows to support this. I honestly think that if anyone comes at all then it will be loan players only. Nige must be getting a real sense of deja vu about now.
Same old.... Gallagher and Fletcher on 25k a week, that is absolutely and completely bonkers. Said it once said it before, look in the lower leagues, hundreds of quality players out there. Jordan Jones from Killie for one.
