I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of Davis and I'm not particularly sad to see him go. He was vital when we were first in the PL though and he always gave 100%. Good luck for the future Steven.
Great servant to the club and wish nothing but the best for him. Was a key part to some of our best years and will be remembered for that.
At his best he made the team tick over and was very important for us under Poch and Koeman particularly. He is never flashy, but is a model pro and a player's player and I've heard several complimentary comments from people that he played with here. Cheers and good luck in Scotland Davo.
For me, Davo is at Legend status. Quality player who was so important to us and often hugely underrated. Always handles himself in the right manner, never seeming to kick off or get petulant when things didn’t go his way. Top man. Top pro. I wish him all the best.

Spot on, FLT. Just after we'd signed him I happened to be with a guy who knows Danny Murphy well when we bumped into young Daniel one afternoon. When Danny heard I was a Saints fan he said we'd just signed a great player in Steven Davis. As a hard-working and under-rated midfielder himself, Danny knew the beast we'd just bought. SD has certainly been a great servant. Yes, FLT, I'd join you in that "Legend" label.
