    Afternoon all. Just a quickie to cure my curiosity really.
    I noticed in another thread about the refusing to name a horse because it sounded 'risque'.

    Well, that got me thinking - Oh no..a dangerous thing I hear you all groan....

    Well.....

    There is a horse called wingingit.

    How would you pronounce it?

    Winging it
    or Wingin Git

    I know what I'd do if I was commentating <laugh> <laugh>

    How about the horse that ran in the first race at Sandown yesterday...
    The Daily Telegraph suggested it was either a Japanese whaling port or a Swahili word meaning “sweat.”
    Lydia of Racing UK pronounced the horse’s name as...Foo-koo -toh.
    However, I think the owner had something else in mind when he called it Fukuto. <laugh>

    Remember horse running in Ireland a few years back called Forced Kin. Always had me on the floor listening to the commentary! Priceless
