Afternoon all. Just a quickie to cure my curiosity really. I noticed in another thread about the refusing to name a horse because it sounded 'risque'. Well, that got me thinking - Oh no..a dangerous thing I hear you all groan.... Well..... There is a horse called wingingit. How would you pronounce it? Winging it or Wingin Git I know what I'd do if I was commentating
Captain Camel Toe Horseitintomeboss Bridgits Beef Fingers Three cheeky names I would try to get passed for the craic.
How about the horse that ran in the first race at Sandown yesterday... The Daily Telegraph suggested it was either a Japanese whaling port or a Swahili word meaning “sweat.” Lydia of Racing UK pronounced the horse’s name as...Foo-koo -toh. However, I think the owner had something else in mind when he called it Fukuto.
Remember horse running in Ireland a few years back called Forced Kin. Always had me on the floor listening to the commentary! Priceless
