Best player to have ever played for us probably Jay Jay, shame he was on his last legs. About as skillful as they get.

Up there with Raich Carter I'd agree they'd be the most skillful.

Presumably on purpose, to give England a fighting chance.

The best player of all time imo. We got him late, but I'm thankful for what I saw. Jay Jay 44 played for Hull City AFC :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

I was privileged to see him play in the game at Wolves which we won one nil with a Deano penalty. My everlasting memory will be of him with the ball surrounded by about 6 Wolves players but with a swivel of the hips and a dip of the shoulder he was gone leaving them standing and me (as well as others) amazed. A brilliant player even at the end of his career who lit up the team at the time.

I used to see a lot of Bundesliga in the 90's and he was such a good player, he even made a fool of Oliver Kahn which was unheard of, theres some great footage of it online. To think a player like that could end up playing for us even at a late age is remarkable, truly world class.

Met Jay Jay on the day he signed at Cott training ground. Shook his hand, I remember he was tiny.

Watched it last night. Amazingly how ex professionals put on weight quickly. Some looked a bit thick set.

I don't think it's that surprising as they'll be used to eating a lot of calories whilst playing.

Similar to how you see some players put on weight before preseason if they're not taking care of themselves.

I occasionally see the ex Leeds player, Alan Clarke, he's in his 70s now but still looks like he could strap his boots on and play - the ankle tapping twat him.

Caught an England game from this and Joe Cole looks like he could still play!
