On Sunday night I watched 'Jeff Beck: Still on the Run' on BBC4, it was a terrific resume of his career with contributions from so many great musicians he's played with, undoubtedly 'The Guitarist's Guitarist'. Well worth a view on i-player...
First gig of the year tonight, at King Tuts in Glasgow - Jnrs band supporting a couple of older bands, and the gig is sold out. Unfortunately, this may turn out to be their last gig as there have been some "artistic differences" leading up to this one, with my son and the guitarist wanting to go in a heavier, punkier direction, whilst the singer seems to want to turn to a more ballad style (the bassist just does what he's told!). Jnr is already writing songs for a new band so hopefully they'll be out gigging soon. Here's the headline band tonight.... And the support act....(not the greatest video)
Top stuff and fair play Steelsey You really do get out very often to live gigs mate, and you must spend probably around 2k£+ every year on live music if you added it all up
Another good list mate, there's 3 or 4 on there i need to check out too Also agree about Muse, always loved them but i find now that i like 3-4 tracks on their albums and can easily never listen to the rest again. Last album i loved of theirs was Black Holes
