The whole media (here and abroad) is excited about our loss. Not because they don't like our team but because there is now a title race. Some are even saying they wished they had the next instalment of the premiership "boxset" this weekend. And that the FA Cup is interrupting this amazing nail biter and soon the CL will be interrupting too. A win for us would have led to a boring procession. It is going a real test of nerve for both our players and Klopp I have no doubt. Klopp may have won the Bundesliga but not the premiership and it will be new ground for our players. There will many stick or twist moments till the end of the season for this team. Loads of excitement and nail biting moments to come but to be honest I would have preferred a boring procession
But I think you’ll find that most people are not just focusing on Lovren, and are discussing the other issues like the midfield. So your accusation of scapegoating is rather lazy.
I have no real issue with people wanting a title race. last year was pretty dull cos everything was decided early at the top and at the bottom it wasn't very competitive so the thing was a damp squib. we had our CL run to entertain us but if we'd not got that the final 3 months of season would have been utterly boring. like if you are a spurs fan... imagine being trapped in that kind of scenario.
Their next game would normally be a must win game - although I can hear voices already in my head saying, take a breather, if they get knocked out the FA Cup they can focus on the title
That's only been brought up by one set of fans since I started doing it (over a year ago) btw.... Spurs!
A procession is only boring for the fans of those following. I would love to be at the head of it and will never get bored..
It's weird that it was a great game to watch yet all of our players were off the pace (as were some of theirs). Wasn't Aguero in an offside position before running back on for the first goal - I've lost track of the rules so don't really know but it looked a bit iffy to me.
And we've apparently #bottledit and lost the league despite being 4pts ahead and never expected to actual win it
Imo the goal was fine. both goals were. I think the pace of game and closing down done by city made us look bad. I think we need to see city denied us a single decent pass. thry pressed hard on vvd and left lovren with the ball.... they shut midfield down totally. we were shown up for what we had to offer... but not for first time this season. the cl games showed it too. give credit to the work city put in to close us down but also how they kept it and made us then chase... top class.
they all love a good bottle job. spurs will get theirs next. it's quite simple. everyone told Leicester they would bottle it too. those fans were really angry about it but it was a run of 3 or 4 1-0s that shut us all up that finally they won through. we need to do the same now. shut the mouths up by winning next games and extending lead not losing it.
1-0s aren't good enough, we need a couple to remove PGMOL's ability to change the result with a decision against us
wasn't talking to you. I was commenting to z and what rhc said. back of the class til you learning proper wumming. dame Ethna would get a bigger rise round here than you've managed so far
