I remember the CL first leg I was nervous as ****. I am too calm for this one. Maybe it is because this team has given me the confidence that they do not panic. Actually if there is a reference we need to look at it is the Chelsea game. They were under the cosh until they scored at the end of the first half. From there City heads kinda dropped and they were able to close out the game.
Yup... I'm really not worried about this result no matter what. We will know how far our team has matured by the reaction to the result... A win then **** up after thinking it's in the bag or drive on. A loss ...heads go down and we get a couple of crappy results in a row or we shrug the shoulders and carry on winning. . Draw... mweh that should do literally nothing to us either way unless we get a key injury or red card etc. Just go out and play tonight....angry isn't that the way Klopp describes it?
I rarely am until about half an hour before kick-off. We'd all love to win tonight but reality is, we'd have snapped the offerers hands clean off for this position just 5-6wks ago!
A win would be immense and a draw a very good position too. Even if we lose, if someone would have offered me a 4 point lead over City at this point in the season, I'd have bitten their hand off. The important part of this game is our mentality after it, win, lose or draw. Being ahead points wise either way is great, but a win can't go to our heads and cause complacency and a lose can't demoralise us either such is our advantage. Luckily, there's no one I'd rather have steering the team and being in control of their mindset right now than Klopp. We've had the better of them for the past few seasons, just need to do it again. They'll be bricking it more than us. My question of City is are they confident enough that we'll drop off in the last few months that they can afford to lose/draw and still keep going and win the league, or they see this as a must win else title challenge over? Fascinating really. Can't wait.
imo city have tipped their hand. they've talked too.much already and it really feels like they are trying to talk themselves into winning. if they lose imo they will fall away as the cl come in. we should win 13 of the next 16 after this. that's the reality of the league. do that and a win is enough
