He's having a good game tonight playing for Denmark. He's on a hattrick having scored twice in the first half.

I hope he can reproduce this on Saturday! :)

Really, get in, bit of a surprise though as I have been reliably informed by our brothers on the Newcastle board that he is not as good as Leon Best, well I never.

Seriously though, delighted for the lad, can't wait to see him banging them in for us, starting against Chelski hopefully.

<ok> This lad could well be a revelation for us. I've always liked him and didn't think he got a fair go at Arsenal. I honestly think we are better off starting with him on Saturday and leave Gyan on the bench until he's back to full match fitness.

Bendtner came out and said he won't play for Arsenal again so he'll most likely be leaving next summer.

However if he does well for us there'll be a few clubs in for him. He'll be getting his move to Barca or Real before too long man... :p

agreed, i reckon we'll play 4-5-1 v the sky 4 anyway, with Bendtner a better option than Gyan to lead the line with Gyan coming on if we go 1 down but knowing Bruce he'll wait til the game's out of reach, sadly

Sadly, I think you're right. SB has developed an awful habit of not changing things until the last 15-20 minutes and even then there doesn't appear to be any change in tactics, making like for like substitutions to keep the same formation.

We'll just have to hope that he gets things right, like he did at Stamford Bridge last season ;)

why don't scotland just pack it all in? shame like as they were pretty decent late 70s early-mid 80s with the likes of gemmil souness dalglish hanson etc, all great players but now fletcher is probably their main man, says it all really

    Good news on Bendtner.

I noticed another thing in amongst the games, Seb was subbed off after 57 minutes.

I hope this was standard, and not a ****ing injury.

Sidenote, Tobias Hysen came on as sub and scored.

Bendy's been out of favour at Arsenal. But all that means is you don't fit one manager's vision of how he wants his team to play. It doesn't mean you're a bad player.

Bent was out of favour at 'Spurs. A lot of people thought Quinn was an over-the-hill crock when we bought him. Phillips wasn't just 'out of favour' at Watford - he was in their reserves! Yet, all three did a brilliant job for us. Let's see how Bendy goes. Forget what happened at Arsenal.

Could be a long old day for Bendtner against Chelsea if SB decides to go all defensive. As he has proved give him chances and he will score.

Sit back and play defensive against Chelsea (especially with the iffy defence we are likely to put out) we're doomed.

Have a go at taking the game to them we have a chance, supply Bentner, with Larsson on the right and Sess on the left, with one of the other three forwards up with him.

This is one game i wouldn't like to call, as yet again it remains down to what team selection is made. We're at home, gotta have a go.

What-ever the outcome Bendtner will score in this one.
