DCL has only started a handful of games. He needs a season in the championship playing week in week out as a No.9. He’s got all the attributes he just needs to hone his game imo.

We work the ball wide and stick crosses in too often, when we’ve not got a player or players that are really strong in the air. We’ve been at our best when attacking with pace on the counter. We need to get the ball forward quicker, much quicker, particularly when sides are playing the high press.

Yeah, funny how we are great at getting the ball into an empty 18 yard box!!!

Things will get better, but agree DCL should be out on loan-needs experience and he can do well.

    Interesting!

I didn’t realise we had spent so much on the players. I think City have spent more but we are not that far behind. So only natural that LFC are challenging with the significant amount of money spent, specially last 12 months.

Totally agree. Nearly 2 billion spent on players. Ultimately this is all OUR (fans/viewers/subscribers) money. In a world where this money can do more good than filling the pockets of players and their agents. Makes you want to weep.

Liverpool pay Lallana £65k/week, Silva gets £220k/week

So that £1m difference got negated within 6.5 weeks, i.e. one preseason

The government has given £500 billion to bankers to cover the losses their own greed and #fraud caused.

£2 billion on sports entertainment is nothing.

£500bn is a very very huge amount of money of course but having said that that money was given to save the savings of millions of people- supposedly. But 2billion is not nothing . And a huge proportion of it go into the pockets of top players and their agents. AND the 2 billion is only expenditure of Three clubs never mind all the premiership clubs

Even very average players playing in the premiership are on 25-35k a week which is £100k-150k a month. Now this is what it would take the average worker several YEARS to earn. Really sickening.

£5 billion went on banker bonuses. That reward for failure makes Mourinho look like nothing.

As was said earlier, 2 wrongs don’t make a right. The billions spent by clubs on players is totally out of control. How can people justify spending £60m - £100m on each player and then pay them £50k-£300k a week. Some of them are not even stars and infrequently start in the first team.

Just pointing out there are much bigger wrongs. If you don't like the state of football then don't pay for Sky. You have a choice (unlike the theft by bankers).

This is always the argument of the capitalists. If you don’t like it, p1ss off!

But fans are a captive clientele. They want to watch their teams, either in their stadia or on tv. Of course they are exploited. When FSG increased their ticket prices, they presumably followed your philosophy. If you don’t like it you can always not bother watching. <doh>
