No fee mentioned - he signed a contract until summer of 2021

I think its horses for courses Kirklees....we are in the 3 tier of English Football...probably where Max Power belongs, I'm sure if we climb out this league his chances will be diminished with incomings.

I thought hes been solid ( other than the sendings off). We are a much better team with him then without imho

I think he's what we need in this league. He started really well and helped us dominate the midfield.
His last few games haven't been great but I think that's down to the 3 red cards and he's been a lot more controlled. I hope he steps up in the next few games as Cattermole is now suspended after reaching 10 yellow cards.

Thats exactly what Wigan done with him when they got promoted. He was an ever present in their promotion campaign but ge never got a sniff in the Championship before he came to us

Think Honeyman (if fit) will come in for Cattermole personally or O'Nien will move into that role if Matthews is back. Obviously if not then not sure what will happen - we have others capable but Cattermole has been our best midfielder this season (and well he should be in this league) so he will undoubtedly be missed - but better he misses the game this weekend than the Luton one (IMO)

Honeyman for me, shame Robson is not fit and ready, and we have other options already stated, personally I dont think we will miss him at all, I reach for my tin hat as I type. :emoticon-0107-sweat

We will be without Cattermole and Honeyman for the next 3 games :emoticon-0101-sadsm

**** yeah! Forgot about that - (guessing you're including the mags in the "3 games" (Cattermole that is)

If Matthews is fit again I think O'Nien will fit into that role perfectly. Just as combative and loves the place. Can get up and down too. Not sure he has the vision for the pass that Cattermole has but hopefully he'll be able to do the job

Do think Catts will be sorely missed mind

There's Robson as well I suppose but I'm yet to be convinced by him!

Yep still injured according to Jack Ross.
Hopefully Matthews recovers in time for O'Nien to move to midfield but Robson has a longer term injury and won't feature yet.
We might have to play Bali Mumba again.

Thanks mate. Power/O'Nien/Mumba sounds alright no? Think we do alright for midfielders which is a good job given the suspensions

Ha, just saw your match thread RTB, good work. Forgot McGeouch! Sure he'll be starting and a chance for him to show what he can do. Midfield crisis pah

**** yeah - completely forgot about him - which upsets me somewhat as I had such high hopes for him! We seem to be covered in Catts' position although I'm yet to see ahy of them play better than him this season. Dylan - now's your chance

I like Power, good player and a very positive influence on his teammates he embodies the never say die attitude. I was pissed off at him for all the red cards but he got away with the last one and his first was a bit dubious. He seems like he's got his act together now at any rate.

Totally mate, I had high hopes too and still think he'll come good, not that he's been a disaster or anything. So McGeough and Power at CM with O'Nien staying at right back and Matthews on bench with Bali perhaps? No point rushing Matthews back IMO.

    1. Mumba has a touch of the M'Vila's about him and looks the business long term. McGeough has so far been rather unimpressive, but JR seems to have faith, but if he fails to shine, a few sub appearances from Mumba maybe just the chance he needs, every cloud has a silver lining, and we are strong enough in midfield without Catts, who apart from his deplorable disciplinary record, is imo past his sell by date, but sadly we will just have to be patient until time gets rid of our more expensive under achievers, and replace them hopefully with better options. onwards and upwards.
