    Good Morning Everyone

Leeds suffered their second consecutive defeat, conceding three goals in just over 5 mins in the process.

The game was marred by bad decision making, poor passing and a complete lack of intensity. Forest had not won a game in seven outings so their confidence would have been low but what was Leeds excuse?

    TALKING POINTS

Should the Forest player have been sent off when Harrison was clear on goal?

Was Phillips harshly treated by his red card?

Was Ayling bought back too soon?

Is Forshaw good enough to start?

In his post match presser Bielsa admitted defending from set pieces was a problem for the team.

He also more or less ruled out bringing in any defensive players during the January transfer window:-

“It’s not a new fact that we have problems on set-pieces and it’s not a new fact that we make it easier sometimes for the opponent to have chances to score.”

“But the game has these kind of risks and the fact that we dare to play, sometimes it has negative aspects. It also gives us a style of play that we should be faithful to.

“We don’t have any problems in defence. If you take out the goals that are scored at set-pieces, we are the team who have conceded the least. Obviously set pieces are part of defending and we can’t hide the fact we’re lacking good headers like Berardi and Cooper.

“We made some corrections and the solutions we found are not final solutions but I don’t think we can solve this problem with a new player.”

    Thoughts?

Morning all. My feelings starting a new year “
Marcelo Bielsa is a genius for getting us where we currently are with this crop of players and with the injuries we’ve had. It’s now down to Andrea Radrizzani to back him in this window. If he’s backed, we go up in the auto’s.‘

    Morning all....

In regards to defenders, I can see Bielsas point in regards to having a fit Cooper and Berardi to pick from but we haven’t. Halme is obviously seen as being lesser than a make shift midfielder which I find strange and the chances are we’re always going to have someone injured or suspended. Surely his words are those of someone not wishing to knock confidence, I can’t believe he wouldn’t welcome a quality CB?

Phillips was a red but I’ve seen refs back down on giving them, a case of reputation making it an easier decision. We won more points over Christmas than Norwich, WBA and Sheff U and we now have 9 days to our next league game.

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

fantastic December up to the last game of the year and first game of this. No major problems except for the ones we knew we had. We need to see Phillips back in front of the defence doing his quarter back role. That will now not happen and we have lost him for 3 games. Ayling hasn't been brilliant since he came back. Silly mistakes cost goals etc. Forshaw will now have to be Phillips and guessing that Halme will need to play.

New keeper required along with more help up top for Roofe as we waste too many chances to kill games off. We need Bamford and Brown now but that's not going to happen so transfer window must be used. Harrison has been good recently and was best player on the park yesterday but subbed off for Clark. Wonder if both can start?

This window must be used and whoever comes in must be Bielsa's choice

    Good morning to everyone
Gutted by the Forrest result, but heartened by the performance,it was realy was just another bad day at the office, where everything that could go wrong ,unfortunately did.I agree with others in that this transfer window is probably the most important we have ever faced, for me (just my oppinion mind) a goalkeeper who can command his area and take crosses, someone like Forster would be of paramount of importance, which would also take a lot of the heat off the defence.Don't get me wrong i think BPF will be a truly great keeper in a couple of seasons, but he is still learning his trade and to me it's unfair that the lad seems to be taking a lot of the heat atm, don't forget he has been thrown in the deep end & told to swim,i realy hope he can deal with it,before it ruins his confidence/carreer because he does have a great future ahead of him, with Leeds United i hope.
We at the moment are shipping a lot of goals from set pieces,i would hope by doing something like i mentioned in the above paragraph, would help address this,as we can score goals, just conceding to many.At this moment in time we have been relying on other results, going our way & by and large they have, but this will not always be the case.

Refereeing is hurting us as well. We had only 1 penalty in 2018 with the normal average being a penalty every 7.4 games right across football. We have had penalties given against us and we have players sent off and yesterday a blatant error by not sending Robinson off for his foul on Harrison. Last man with only the keeper to beat, ref blew for a foul yet inexplicably only booked Robinson? If Leeds are to be given widespread TV coverage you would think the EFL would give us competent referees instead of useless twats that only make the EFl look stupid.

Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey where I have just seen a yellow hammer for the first time this year I hope we get 20 like we did last year in March
Its obvious that this window will either show we intend to put some investment in the club or sink yet again
We need KEEPER CENTRE BACK AND someone who can score in midfield I think Clarke can save us a lot of money on a winger
Phillips and the forest player should have been sent off
    Don't throw it away AR

Should the Forest player have been sent off when Harrison was clear on goal? Absolutly yes

Was Phillips harshly treated by his red card? No, but I think he has been harsly delt with by some fans. It was Forshaws fault that i got it. Had Forshaw done his job it would not have happend.

Was Ayling bought back too soon? No dont think so, but he needs to find himself.

Is Forshaw good enough to start? No, him and Douglas has been the biggest dissepointment this season so far. In the last game alone his at fault for 3 of the goals and the red card to KP

Afternoon all fellow Leeds fans and any other reprobates hanging around!
Someone needs to have a word with Radz and tell him the £20 million he saved not landing Conte  needs to go on a few players to help Marcelo and the lads out. A better opportunity may not arise and I don't think the management will get as lucky with plan C compared to the wonders that Bielsa has worked.

Would love the quality of Defoe at Leeds but how long would it take and could he actually get his Bielsaball stripes at his age? Always scores goals and was an England International last year. Ultimatley if Bielsa wants him or anyone else then Im happy
