3 points yes but yesterday was a good opportunity to redress the goal difference between us and the other two, the fact we didn't take it says there's an attitude defect, we eased off at 0-3, we shouldn't have done.

I think this is massively harsh. 4 games in 10 days and 3-0 up after 25 minutes with the other team not even looking like scoring. You can understand why they played within themselves. I would rather we took it easy, conserved energy and didn't get more injuries.

We have won 16 out of 21 games. That is phenomenal. Any of us would have taken that before the season if someone had offered it. Especially with all the issues with the stadium and all the players we have had missing for large chunks of this season.

We have FA cup Friday then Chelsea semi final next week and then a resurgent Man U after. Winning these games is far more important then winning by 4 or 5. And we have just scored 5 and 6 in 2 of our last 3 matches as well!

    This.

Whatever our priorities, flogging this already tired XI to get another goal or two, when we're hard pressed to put up a bench with a dozen first team starts between them, would be nuts...leaving aside that we've got games against Chelsea and United next week.

We won the game in 26 mins and eased our way through the rest in a training session fashion.

The first priority was to win.
The second was to not expend too much energy.
The third was to avoid any new injuries.
The fourth was to boost our goal difference.

All four objectives were comfortably achieved so any criticism is pointless.

We were one of only TWO clubs who had to play 4 games in just 10 days...and the ONLY club who played 5 games in 13 days.

To have won away at Arsenal, Everton and Cardiff and at home to Bournemouth scoring 15 goals and conceding 2 is a great effort...Wolves was hugely disappointing but it should be seen in this context.

Sometimes I think we are way too negative and when RCL thinks that you need to take a long hard look at yourself <laugh>

Your obsession with scoring 4+ goals a game is bizarre, and totally unrealistic.
    This isn’t FIFA19.

Point taken Crackerman but it concerns me if a team doesn't take its opportunities when presented then it will lose its scoring momentum.

I don't have an obsession like that Roo, I look at individual matches and yesterday was an ideal opportunity to score a hatful and narrow the goal difference gap between us and the others..........that's all.

Yeah I also hate only winning 3-0 away from home. Does my nut in.

Yes, maybe a couple more second half goals would have been nice if the game was during a period of the season where we hadn’t had a game for a week before, and didn’t have another for a week after. But not during this schedule we’re currently going through.
Winning matches in any way, shape, or form, and avoiding injuries and fatigue has got to be the top prority at the moment.

I haven’t seen the interview. Did he manage to give any reason for this idea (that we should have to use Wembley for the rest of the season)?!
Was it so that other rival teams in the drop zone didn’t have the disadvantage of playing Spurs in their own new stadium? What a fair-minded man he is :emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0136-giggl after all.
Or was he angry with Spurs fans, so wanted to extend the period of punishment for us - making us go through the Wembley travel agonies for a few more months! :steam::steam:

Just a further, slightly contentious thought..... I didn’t think Cardiff were quite as awful as pundits and posters have been saying. They weren’t in Spurs’ class, it’s true, but they did get some decent passing movements going at times, and created some promising opportunities. What let them down was their lack of sharpness in the final third and some nervy, confused defending. But there was a distinct whiff of the Wolves match at times, and this was only removed by some calm defending (mostly!). I had hoped for a couple more strikes in the second half, but on reflection it was decent match management - and we didn’t get ourselves into the Wolves away scenario, which we’ve often seen in the past (winning 3-0, end up hanging on desperately as 3-2 winners..... or sink in stress and fear to become 2-1 losers). So we shouldn’t complain: the team did what we’ve complained about them NOT doing in the past: they closed the game out, and saved a lot of energy.

Given the current allegations flying around about his youth coach, Craig Bellamy, I would have thought Colin would have more pressing things to concern him rather than stick his very large nose into our business.

Bellamy wearing yellow socks with brown shoes is a serious matter.

Warnock said that it would be an unfair advantage for teams in the bottom half of the table to play spurs at the new WHL as they are more likely to get points their than Wembley...I kid you not <laugh>

He mentioned that and tried to be dismissive......but made a complete bollocks of it. He gave a pretty good summary of what's been alleged....and then said it was all a bit vague and that he knew nothing about it.

As the complainant is Dave Madden, I'd take it with a large pinch of salt. LARGE.

He played for Palace in the early 90's. It's widely held that he left after slipping one to someone's wife - someone very senior within the club. I've heard from people that could know, that wasn't true but he was a 'bit of a character' and there are rumours of other issues. Controversy followed him and his career was over pretty quickly.
