I see h Palmer sends one up to Gosforth park this eve , he seems to target this place , apparently went to university there , developed a liking for the strange folk he met and always likes to have a winner there, Breaking Records 9/2 , been improving with racing, has a decent chance in this .
Over at wolves , Ben haslam has top weight castle Hill cassie trying to fend off all comers at 6/1 , I'll get my cloak of nonentity ...........

On a serious note .... surely more people (if they can and it’s practicable) should.be working from home ... that is the way forward

    hi fellas!

    ayr,2 10:

quite a tightly-knit race, but ive the feel, that ECHO EXPRESS will go well here.hes still pretty unexposed over fences, and though 5 lbr higher in a better contest, can still be competitive off this mark.

    hereford,3 00:

ROSEMARY RUSSET ran a fine race to a useful nicholls horse last time out at taunton, with the third nearly 30 lengths away,so the form looks solid enough.looks progressive, and should cope with a 4 lbr rise today..

well,to be honest,im a bit surprised to see RUBY TIGER being one of the outsiders here,as she has shown already some ability so far,and ran in some tough races,so might well outrun her odds today.good e w claims..

What does everyone think of the Rooneys boycotting Cheltenham racecourse then with their horses? Ironically Cheltenham didn't have a single faller at the meeting yesterday...:emoticon-0142-happy.

They’ve had some really bad fortune at the course but I do think it’s a really odd statement to be making. I’m sure their opinion would be different if one of theirs was fancied for a championship race.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, Will they be back again? Will they start shunning NH racing in general? Will anyone notice?

It's an odd one Captain. From reports I've read they don't appear to have had any discussions with the racecourse regarding any safety concerns prior to making the decision so it appears a bit knee jerk. Bear in mind that the Rooneys removed all their horses from the McCain yard a while back and with very little notice as I understand it so they've got form for acting in haste. Even as a big fan of NH I can't totally overlook the many sad injuries and fatalities that occur. I reconcile it personally by being pretty sure that NH racehorses receive the absolute best of care during their lives. Although I don't have any stats to back it up I can't see how avoiding one particular track will make much difference to injuries/fatalities that an owner's string may suffer over the long term. Paul Nicholl's response did make me smile though as I suspect he wouldn't have been so keen to wade in 100% behind Cheltenham if he had the Rooney's patronage.
