He’s never been quick. Why do you expect him to be quick? That’s not his game and never has been. He’s a good finisher with good hold up and passing ability. Watch the post match interview (Post #302) with Crosby to improve your understanding of the type of forward we have on loan.

Brilliant result and some of the football we played in the last half an hour was fantastic. We looked like we could score from every attack. Some really pleasing performances all over the pitch. Kevin Stewart seems to have emerged as a no nonsense central midfielder and Henricksen seems to be thriving in his role as captain. Burke and De Wijs have also come on leaps and bounds since the start of the season.

The result was obviously great, but I think the best part about today was seeing the team spirit amongst the group. They all seemed to be encouraging each other at all times and the goal celebrations seemed to involve every player bar Marshall. In addition, the subs who came on seemed to make a positive impact on the game. Was very impressed with Toral especially. It's just really nice to go and watch the team play with smiles on their faces!

It feels odd to be speculating about the top 6 when only 6 weeks ago the talk was about being the best of the bottom 6. We're riding the crest of a wave at the moment and it's the best football we've played in 3 years. It will be an important month with keeping the team together and if we can do that we have every chance of sneaking in the play offs.

I don't expect to him be quick, but from a footballer thats playing one division below the top and on a unbelievable amount of money I expect him to put that away, it was a sitter, theres no other word for it.

I understand what sort of centre forward he is, a big burley strong centre forward that wins headers, holds the ball up and brings others into play. For the most of his City career he has done non of this at all and that includes today. He is second to most headers, sometimes he's not even in the same frame as the ball, hes a turning circle of a huge boat. Then I hear he is a great finisher, the last three games hes missed two complete utter sitters.

I hope I have been proven wrong and to be fair I have a lot recently with the likes of Henrickson, Stewart and Marshall, and I hope he starts banging them in, but against better teams we need a pacey quick thinking centre forward with Evandro or Campbell. Confidence is a funny thing. Theres better strikers out there on a lot less money.

Great post. I honestly cannot believe the transformation. It’s an unbelievable turnaround. I felt relegation was a formality we were that bad.

Watch the post match interview. Andy Crosby admits the match today is the first we have played with Grosicki and Bowen playing narrow when Martin is on the ball. He doesn’t win headers in the traditional ‘Strong’ Centre forward mould. He’s more a ball to feet striker, which he did well today. The rest of the team clearly value him which is why his goal celebration was a team affair.

I'm pleased Martin scored because hopefully it will kick his arse into gear and get him going , still baffled by his refusal to get both feet off the ground when challenging for headers . Pleased Dicko scored too, good to get them shared around a bit

After the Forest defeat, it felt like it would be back to square one but we've really kicked on since then. The league is competitive and to go on an unbeaten run like this is difficult enough at the top end of the league so it feels even more mad that we've done it from being 2nd bottom!

So you've been wrong about all those players, just maybe yo know... what do you think?
Nige wanted him and was well aware he isn't fast. So...

I have listened to it. We need to get players round him, bring him into the action, get players running off him, I understand that. But he could at least attempt to jump with two feet off the ground for headers? With having two wingers, its impossible to get players running off him all the time, especially if its Evandro, and if he does bring others into play hes hardly the one to spring in the box and smash it in is he.

He threw on two misfiring strikers - and they both scored.

How good will that be for them?

How good is that squad rotation?

And like people have pointed out- the whole team and bench go nuts when we score.

Looks like the spirit is sky high right now, and underperforming player after underperforming player is coming in and getting improved.

Thought we would be ****ed at the vermin with the triple whammy of no Campbell, no Irvine and no Elphick.

Not a bit of it. Looks like whoever plays does a good job.No player is irreplaceable.

Stunned really regarding the turnaround in the team performance over the last two months. You have got to praise Nigel Adkins over what he has achieved and admit that him and Crosby have done a fantastic job. Can we hang onto our top players ? I really hope so as it’s the least the management and team deserve. Could two or three decent additions be a gamble worth taking. The play offs are a very realistic proposition from this position if the squad is strengthened. Wow watch this space, this is going to be a really interesting January. Oh and happy new year to you all too.

Some players just don’t have that in their locker. He shouldn’t be chastised for it. He clearly is trying.

So glad Dicko scored today as he will go on to bang in many more I'm sure! Adkins has proven me wrong by getting Toral Dicko and Keane going again. Is Chazz going to apologise for calling Dicko 'lazy'? Also slagging players off just because they move somewhere else and have the gall to play against us, like Bowen and a few others might do? Well done Adkins

He signed a huge contract when he scored about 20 goals for Derby about 2 seasons ago, then got a bad injury I think.

Two ace beers after that 6-0 rout and I am blessedly contented, despite that clunky pedestrian Dr.Who. The sky's the limit for this season. No Tardis needed.

Well said.... I feel like the last 6 weeks have been a dream. When we went bottom, I was convinced we would remain there all season without another win!!

Well done Nige & thank you for proving me wrong
