Fosu is a lazy looking player and Stevenson has zero pace so will be exposed regularly, just totally lost momentum from the first 20 where we were playing quick pacy football and should have had a comfortable afternoon.
I fear for us Saturday that back 4 will be under the pump.
Crowd was quiet today probably all suffering from a bastard behind the eyes.
3 points though a sort of missionary with the wife kind mind

Got to the ground at half time as was coming down from up north and done over by a delayed train meaning i missed a connection.

Wasn't allowed in eventhough I had a season ticket as it was the "rules".

Thought it might be a jobsworth so went to several stewards and gate staff but the response was the same so i went home, what a waste of an afternoon. I still don't understand what rule it breaks.

More fool me for having a season ticket at Duchatelet's Charlton I guess.

Another case of not looking after the supporters, disgraceful treatment.

I'd not have left until I got Keohane's backside off his seat to sort it out.

Generally speaking, the stewards down there are scumbags. Poorly paid zealots who grow 6 feet when they put on Hi Viz.

In summary, a scrappy win against a poor side today. The positives were the performances of Stevenson and Morgan, and the 3 points gained when we were basically running on empty.

I would go as far as to say that our season is over if Lyle Taylor picks up an injury now.

Bowyer said after the game that Reeves, Sarr and Bielik are all struggling with fitness issues <yikes>

    (Surprised in Reeves’ case :headbang:)

Contact them tomorrow and complain, making sure you get through to somebody in authority and get an apology.

The last time I did this I got a freebie in the Keith Peacock lounge.

Gutsy display by the bare bones. We ground out a win, but made it very hard for ourselves. Bowyer has said that Sarr and Bielek were running on empty and Reeves has picked up an injury. I thought the youngsters did very well but they should be used sparingly. I thought Dijksteel was poor today and I would replace him with Solly on Saturday.

I don’t think Djiksteel has the positional sense to play full back. He was all over the place today. Even Sarr gave him a bolloking, and Bauer gave him a few.

thought we made it harder than it should have been. we didnt start playing again in the second half and was caught napping. we should have burried the game in the first half and just knocked it about all second half, instead of over exerting ourselves.

Not this season, or the next. You must be suffering from too much orange juice,

Sunderland will finish our play off hopes on Saturday, then we can look forward to the takeover and the rebuild of our club from the Duchalet fiasco.

I am confident that we will end up in the play offs. There is a gap from 7th to 8th place and I feel that eventually it will end up the top 7 will remain the same and it is just a case of making sure we do not lose out.

With the strike force we have I hope we can 'get lucky' with the lottery of the play offs that could see us stumble to promotion. I don't think for one moment we will go up automatically, we are too inconsistent.

@AllHellLetLoose please note this post on Charlton, and a sensible one as well.

Just getting into the Play Offs counts for nothing though (unless you are Seriously Deluded)...as we proved last season.

Of course, but I was not saying that.

I do not think we are good enough to get an automatic spot so we have to settle for second best, a bit like the moderating of this board since Donald and AllHelll stepped down.<laugh>

We were talking about this on the way home today. Portsmouth & Sunderland to be promoted outright. You certainly wouldn’t fancy playing Luton over 2 legs. They gave us a going over for much of the game at Kenilworth Road earlier this season.

The play offs are a lottery, there is no reason why we cannot go up via them.

The team may well lose on Saturday, but that's just one game. Still 19 more afterwards - more than a third of the season.
Lee Bowyer has made the best start to a season since Powell did in 2011-12. Charlton have a real chance of getting back to the Championship.
    That's what really matters.

I've spent five years fretting more about who owns the Club than the only thing I ever used to care about - supporting the team.
The take-over will happen when it happens, and the new owners will be better than RD or worse than him. Such is life.

As I posted elsewhere earlier today, we Charlton fans are not glory hunters. Success is not the price for our loyalty.
Club politics is for shareholders and vested interests. I only ever wanted to go and watch 11 men wearing our shirt playing football for the pride of my home town and community. So that's what I'm going to do (circumstances permitting) for as long as I'm able.
