    Tuesday January 1st 5.30pm
    Premier League
    Cardiff City Stadium

An awful 2nd half performance against Wolves meant that we finished the year on a low.
Can we start the new year by getting back on track and returning to winning ways?
Our first foreign trip of the domestic season could be a tricky one.
The first match saw them hit the bottom of the table, but they've improved since, moving out of the relegation zone.
Will we welcome in 2019 with a smile or will the Bluebirds give us the blues?

Neil Warnock's not the most popular figure in football and his style of play is often equally well received.
It looked like his latest stint in the Premier League may have been another short one, early on in the season.
Our match at Wembley ended with them heading into an international break in 20th position with 0 wins.
They returned refreshed though, defeating Fulham and kicking off their campaign.
Further home wins against Brighton, Wolves and Southampton followed.

The Welsh side have also improved on the road, though it would be hard not to, to be honest.
Having only picked up a solitary point away from home before Christmas, they've got four in the last two games.
A draw at Palace on Boxing Day was followed a surprise win in Leicester.
Quite the shock, when you consider that the Foxes overturned City and Chelsea in their previous two matches.

This is the end of a congested run for Cardiff, as their schedule settles down in the following weeks.
They'll be looking to make a last push in this match and keep clear of the relegation battle for a while.
The FA Cup sees them travel to Gillingham and I doubt they'll take it too seriously.
That's followed by games against Huddersfield and Newcastle, which are both massive.
Any cushion that they could pick up against us would put them in a great position.

The match at Wembley earlier in the season could be summed up by naming the only goalscorer: Dier.
A scrappy early goal from the midfielder seemed likely to set us on the way to more, but it wasn't to be.
Moura and Kane both missed a number of chances, as we huffed and puffed against a determined visitor.
A cynical foul by Joe Ralls on the Brazilian was correctly punished with a red card, but we still couldn't find a second.
Mike Dean showed his Spurs bias again late on too, ignoring an obvious penalty for Rose:

No injury news yet, but it seems likely that Wanyama, Vertonghen, Dembele and Dier will still be out.
Zohore is also out for Cardiff. Neither side has any suspensions.

Spurs: Lloris; Trippier, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Davies; Winks, Sissoko, Eriksen, Alli; Kane, Son.
Subs: Gazzaniga, Walker-Peters, Foyth, Rose, Skipp, N'Koudou, Moura.
    League form: WWWWWW.

Cardiff: Etheridge; Manga, Morrison, Bamba, Cunningham; Gunnarsson; Hoilett, Camarasa, Arter, Murphy; Paterson.
Subs: Smithies, Peltier, Bennett, Ralls, Reid, Mendez-Laing, Harris.
    League form: LWLLDW.

    Referee: Kevin Friend.

    TV: Sky Sports.

What do we need to change to avoid another tired, sloppy performance like the Wolves loss?
Who needs a rest, who should come on in their place and how can we freshen up the squad?
Is there anyone that you'd leave out entirely or add from the fringes?

If we win and City win then we are well back in it...6pts again.

As you say...let's see how we cope with the psychological burdens

Sorry but this reminds me of the feeling I had before the match with Sheffield United back in Feb 2007. Warnock was their manager then and we were not favourites...result? Lost 2 nil and were lucky to get nil...
This is a bad football week.
Mark my words...we is DOOMED....DOOMED I tell you DOOMED <wah>

Colin ****er can be proud: he's managed to last two years at Cardiff without being sacked, which has to be a personal record

Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd all have easy matches so a win is vital or we could find ourselves in 4th looking over our shoulders at Arsenal and United.

  11. There shouldn’t be any reason for Spurs not to be up for this game, bearing the importance of 3 points and the disappointing performance on Saturday. However, if any incentive is needed, then Colin ****ers latest verbals against Kane should be noted.
Put the senile, angry twat back in his box!
    COYS!!!

The team definitely needs freshening up tonight - This is one of those matches that I dread Colins team will be horrible to play against and these matches are never pretty - This won't be the team Poch picks but I would go with Gazza, KWP, Rose, Toby, Foyth, Sissoko, Skipp, Lucas, Kane, GKN and Llorente and play them at their own game, go a bit longer push them back with pace down the wings and have the options of Son, Dele and Eriksen from the bench when this lot have run them around for an hour.

I hate Colin. A mate of mine was in the know at Chesterfield when he was manager there. If Chesterfield were beaten, the hot water was turned off, cold showers. What a kunt, bad loser.
