Ok, here's 15 albums I've enjoyed this year.....

    PhotoGrid_1546282627469.jpg

    The Blinders - Columbia

The Good, The Bad & The Queen - Merrie Land
Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy

The Slow Readers Club - Build A Tower

    The Prodigy - No Tourists

    Django Django - Marble Skies

    Courtney Barnett - Sunday Roast

    Suede - The Blue Hour

    Interpol - Marauder

The Lovely Eggs - This is Eggland

We Were Promised Jetpacks - The More I Sleep, The Less I Dream

    Shame - Songs of Praise

Idles - Joy As An Act of Resistance

    Blackwater Holylight - Blackwater Holylight

Boy Azooga - One Two Kung Fu

Got to agree with you Hoop Leif, was a bit disappointed with Arctic Monkeys album, trying to be a bit too clever (although it sounded much better live, bit beefier) - hope they'll come back with a rockier sound for their next album. Also bit disappointed with Muses' latest, very samey too.

2018 has seen the rise of post-punk again, whether this is due to dissatisfaction over the state of the country, or it's just it's time again, I'm not complaining. Top of the heap this year, both with their album and live set was IDLES, fantastic album full of relevant songs. Other bands in the same vein, The Blinders, Shame, Boy Azooga all make the list, and nearly stuck Cabbage in there too.

I've discovered a lot of new stuff this year, both through my own listening and from what you guys all post on here, so many thanks to you all. This thread is a little piece of heaven for me - so keep posting all.

We've also lost some heroes of mine this year, especially Mark E Smith who's music I loved <rose>

Hope 2019 is good to all you music lovers on here - catch you in the new year........I'm off to get smashed <cheers> <cheers> <cheers>
