If hypothetically you won the Euro Millions tonight (£110m) could you 'donate' £20m to Arsenal to be used the funding to sign a player, Cahill for example. Or would this be against League rules?
Don't know about league rules but I would probably prefer to do something towards providing employment and educational opportunities towards the underprivileged. I suppose donating it to Arsenal may keep another millionaire in employment and save me biting my nails through the season
You would then have created more unemployment in the NW and emptied your pockets as it would cost I believe quite a lot more than 20m to buy Bolton
Woah lots of hate for a harmless thread, sorry I strayed off the topics of Arsenal are doomed, injury woes and favourite teams that everyone finds interesting! And yes if I had £110m to spend I might look to invest it into something I love! Or maybe save the world like suggested with providing employment and educational opportunities towards the underprivileged.
i would rather spend 6million buying plymouth argyle, tha manager staff and senior players have gone 10 months without any wages, now there is football charity for a club in admin
Think for tax reasons arsenal would have to be a registered charity for you to donate all the 20mil. With tax deducted, you are free to donate I think as if it were an investment but not receive any equity in return.
I'd buy crewe alex, then use the rest to buy some top players, get them up the leagues, sell them on for a profit then repeat with another low league ****ty team
