16th January 2014:

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms he is staying at Saints
  • He met with Katharina Liebherr before press conference
  • No players for sale, says Poch
  • The manager says he does not know why Cortese left
  • Poch not aware of any bids for Luke Shaw

It's different this time, Libby.

You'll see. You'll all see.

Such a weak, tired squad more like.

9 games in 28 days with the same midfield. Dembele, Dyer, Wanayama, all injured. We’ve had no choice but to play Winks and Sissoko in virtually every game. With brief appearances from an 18 yr old academy player.

Skipp played pretty much the whole game against burnley.

Liverpool have the same issue, robertson vvd salah mane and firmino play pretty much the whole time and have had as much rest.

Where they may have been better is because klopp has subbed some of them off early whilst poch is too weak to rest some of his boys who want to keep playing.

The most worrying thing for the genuine Spurs fans should be the Fat Wizard’s prediction that Poch will definitely stay.

His use of subs is not good, imo. He frequently leaves clearly tired and off form players on the pitch too long.

Although in places like CM our choices are currently so limited, it’s not an easy decision for him.

Skipp looks to have a good future, but is still very young and inexperienced.

Looks like he will have the choice of both.

United clearly already sounding out alternatives in Allegri and then there is still the (slight) possibility that Solskjaer turns out to be just the man.

But, if Spurs don't even see themselves as credible challengers for anything why would he? Would be the perfect time to move on to United. Clear for everyone (bar HIAG and Spurlock) to see.

I should have said, currently not serious challengers.

Either the investment is made to change that, or there’s a good chance Poch will eventually go.

Maybe Poch will negotiate himself a Wenger deal with Levy, no money to spend but he gets a slice of transfer profits

Again , this is wishful thinking on your part.

Poch has always seen Spurs as a long term project, one that is only partly accomplished.

Everything that Poch has ever uttered on the subject has demonstrated that he's in this for the long haul.

If you could point to anything that Poch has said that even remotely suggests that he's interested in taking any other job, I'd give some credit to your assertions , but you cannot.
Is that the same guy who saw Southampton as a long project?

They've had extra time between games and played one game less this month, due to the League Cup.
They also have far less injuries and a larger squad.
