I think I made one or three men in A&E feel a lot better today with updates on what was happening...oh and the paramedics and staff, who as ever I cannot thank enough.
7 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss in the last eleven games, title winning form if extended over the full season. And we have kept clean sheets against each of the current top 3 teams during that spell. Time to start thinking about an unlikely play-off push, rather than a relegation fight. Played, Nigel.
According to Burnsie was rumoured Ehoy was at the game. No doubt negotiating Bowans transfer as I believe Leeds have already shown interest. You can be sure there will be more players going out than coming in this January and the ones coming in will be Free, bargain basement or loan deals. The Allams will continue to asset strip while they are in charge. ALLAMS OUT
There was a photo on Facebook of him being behind one of the Tiger Travel coaches in traffic near the ground.
Well, what can I say to win at TWS with them top of the league is as good as it gets. Congratulations Nigel and all the boys, I feared the worst when I heard Elphick & Campbell were not playing along with Irvine missing I felt a dread of what might happen. I needn't have worried, as Nigel seems to have got players all playing to a system and they just fit in seamlessly. Keane seems to have done a job, Bowen & Turbo sound as if they were outstanding, and Reece & Jordy not putting a foot wrong and Stewart continuing to grow in confidence, it was a perfect performance and outcome. Let's hope they can consolidate during January and keep things going, and no doubt Nigel will get manager of the month for December, let's hope that it is not the kiss of death.
Imagine having to come out and. Put a positive spin on it all the time when he must have been frustrated as hell with the team the owners and the lack of support to implement his plans. So a massive well done to nige. The amount of work him and his back room staff have put in must be monumental. Thoroughly decent bloke who gets attacked for being positive. Well done sir.
I would never have envisaged the run we are on even being a remote possibility. Not sure how Nigel has managed to instil this team ethos in a team which on paper isn’t as strong as most in this league. Also with a back drop of an awful atmosphere at home games and the ****ing dreadful owners. Imagine what he could achieve with new owners and a club all pulling in the same direction. The turnaround is remarkable and whilst I understand the stay away fans. The players however do perhaps deserve more home support.
Imagine if the deal went through a few weeks ago and we had new owners. New contracts for current players sorted, Adkins go out and buy who you need for a promotion push, packed stadium.... We were so close... still dont really know whats happening with the takeover.
Great post he took so much stick given the circumstances he has had to work under most was unfair, His positivity has rubbed off and he has certainly got the best from this group of players regarding team spirit, fight and determination. Even now when the squad is been even more depleted he has got them believing in themselves. If there is one manager in the football league who deserves some backing and help its Nigel Atkins.
Congratulations. Grandkids are great. You are a wonderful figure to them as they associate you with good things and not being told to do their homework, tidy their room etc. Then, at the end of the day they go home.
