Cluedo was created in Leeds, as were jelly totts.

Karl Marx wrote for two local newspapers.

The first maps of English and Welsh Counties were created in Leeds.

Temple Works was a flax mill. To control humidity they grew grass on the roof and grazed sheep up there to keep it short.

Middleton Colliery railway is the world’s oldest working railway.

The 'little nipper' spring loaded mouse trap was created in Leeds.

Sooty and Sweep were created in Leeds when chip shop famous Harry Ramsden's nephew Harry bought his son, Matthew Corbett a puppet from Blackpool.

Leeds is home to the most northern vineyard in England.

Dominic Cazaux changed his name to reflect the 91/92 championship winning side. Dominic now supports Arsenal.

Apparently Charles Dickens visited Leeds on several occasions, giving readings.
He is supposed to have described Leeds as "an odious place"........

He knew a thing or two did Charlie

It's probably the same one. Leeds boundary stretches to drag all sorts of odd places in.

I can’t believe anyone questions DMDs facts.

What's the status of Campbell. Reports say he suffered a hamstring injury in the closing minutes against Preston. If he's out Bowen might be the obvious choice to go in the Striker spot with Kain at right wing and Lichaj at RB. Evandro back in for Irvine.

The first place film was shot. My grandpa always maintained it was as he had seen a clip shot in Leeds when he was very young..
Didn't give it much further thought until I came across the clip on the bridge referred to in this article through the wonders of the internet years later.

I went to a place called Gipton in Leeds In the 70s. ( A friend had moved there )

I still class that estate as the biggest **** hole I have ever seen.

I took my lad to his first away game at Leed's in the eighties. He was only 10 and still remembers a woman sat behind us, Leed's supporter by the way, who had the foulest verbal outpouring of anyone I have ever heard before or since.

Just fancy we might get something from the game, a draw would be welcome and a win more so.

P.S. I quite like CT idea, play Bowen up front if Campbell is out with Kane as right wing and Lichaj at right back with Evandro in for Irvive. Though he might go with Batty and Stewart and bring Evandro on for the last 30 minutes.

liam cooper called me jesus boot when my ankle was fully snapped, and i had to have a weird foot thing, otherwise i'd of been the scottish messi. fact. no joke, i would have been
so that automatically makes me inspire city to a 2-0 defeat and a 37th min 1st goal so i can win the proschwitz jersey

Just hope this isn't a game too far with Irvine gone , and Campbell out ( is he out , didn't look good? ) take a scrappy 0-0 now just to put a dent in their ambitions

I think City can win. 2-1. Even though that kills my chances of the Proschwitz shirt!

We’re better suited away from home and on the counter attack.

If Blackburn can score 2 there, so can we... just hoping they don't score 3. I'd play Dicko, more pace than any of the other options and let Bowen tear there LB a new one. Batty will be desperate to play. Leeds dumped him...
