Jesus H Christ, we lost to a team everyone said we would lose to.
Why all the doom and gloom?
    We didn’t compete with them
    We never could
We didnt take our few chances
    Big surprise, no change there
    I don’t understand the negativity
When was it ever going to be anything other than what it was?

Whos being negative ? I've long stated there's s difference between negativity and being realistic. I think the realism is surrounding ownership rather than the expectations of the teams performance.

    we are ****

There's nothing negative in that imo

As expected. One club that is backed by its owner vs one that isn't. 4-0 is about right.

Might have been a different story if Joselu had scored that free header. Probably not though.

You must be seeing something different to literally everyone else, and must be applying laws which don't exist in the game.

The law states that Dummett would have had to either hold (you cannot constitute the length of time Dummett touched Salah as a hold) or impede Salah getting to the ball for that to be a foul. How in whatever your God's name is does a touch of the arm impede Salah from getting to the ball, other than the fact he throws himself on the ground?

Side note... If Salah was not going to get to the ball, it's an indirect free kick.

I don't think I'll ever not have some disappointment in us getting thrashed, no matter the odds. It's just sickening that Liverpool didn't even get out of first gear, and we were still pretty hapless.

Why sky ever bother showing our shower of **** I don't know.

He holds his arm and pulls him back ... it's not rocket science.... pulling isn't touching???

If you put your pull someone back its a foul... there's no argument other than " it's soft penalty" it's still a penalty

Foul In the box = penalty

Point to the law that says pulling an arm or touching an arm? Pulling a shirt is in there...

It is whether the player is impeded from getting the ball, or whether he is held. Either case, the answer is no. No penalty.

Ha ha is pulling his dick ? Or fingering his hoop in there specifically?

Pulling someome back is a foul mate and it impedes you

    Impede = delay

    You've just lost

Never thought I’d be agreeing with chaos :bandit:

Wont talk about the pen, has that discussion on our board.

You guys look pretty toothless, why didn’t Rondon play? Thought he’s been your biggest threat last few games, saving him for a game you’re more likely to win in?

Its hard to judge Rafa given what he has available but with us and throughout his career he’s always been a manager to keep things nice and tight, get the defence and midfield right before making the team attacking. Is it purely personnel stopping him from doing this or is he trying to get the team playing ‘the Newcastle way’ and be exciting which is having a detriment to the defence?

You should be safe given there are at least 3 teams far worse than you in this league though

I think he's probably tired he's ran his socks off like all our players, so I think It was to ensure he's ready for Watford , but given their form I think another defeat is inevitable ... I'd take a point tbh.

Didn't see or listen to this game but why o why did we give Muto a chance if he was then lumbered with Joselu?

Then to make matters worse Rafa throws in Longstaff when we are on a hiding to nothing - beat that ****er down!

I think Liverpool are better than us and we'll lose 4-0.

Football is a funny old game, but yout comment isn't funny but plain stupid. Gordon McKeag belonged to the old school - patrician, educated, civil, dutiful. Hall was none of those things, but was very rich, very ambitious and saw the club as a way to increase wealth and status. In short, Hall and Ashley have much in common, it's just that Hall had ambition for the club (in the short term at least) and made an astute if lucky decision to appoint KK as manager.
