If he had been the lynch pin of a team in transition and then been the platform for a club to go in to greatness he would have been a legend. People would have spoken about him for the next 100 years.

Now he has left the club people will talk about him until we start winning trophies (which we will) and then it will be Torres who? oh the guy who went to Chelsea, yeah I think I remember him.

We may have sold him for £50m and that is a big deal now but the prices of transfers are going up and £50m will mean nothing in 10 years

 

How many players would want to stick around when they are 26 and haven't won anything at club level? You lot are way too harsh on him for wanting to leave. Even Gerrard put in a transfer request once and he is actually a local boy.

He ended up getting me for Kris Kindle, (or whatever it's called?) and he gave my an envelope with a €10 bet on Arsenal to win the league at 9/2 in it so come on you gooners!

 

Yeah I'm really disappointed that some of our players want to leave. I wish they were more loyal like united ones who would never try to leave their club because it wasn't 'ambitious' enough, only to back down after getting a ****load of cash and being made bigger than the club..... oh wait, maybe not.
