Rafa's recent comments strongly suggest to me that he already knows that he has a woefully small transfer budget yet again. However I know that some of you live in eternal hope that Ashley will one day learn from his mistakes and make propper investment in the squad .......... so what do you think we will ACTUALLY spend in the January transfer window?
25m. An admin error causes Newcastle to accidentally bid 25m for Almiron rather than the 250k intended
Clarification - are we talking net spend or actual outgoing? I know this means a lot for some people....
I agree but it can be skewed. Perhaps we'll spend £100M on players and manage to shift Joselu, manquillo and Diame for £101M
Christmas is **** This year my family didn't even make it until the board games to fall out ! all hell broke out when someone's pudding didn't arrive fast enough.
Our lass forgot to make stuffing. Had to show her the hairy side of my hand, useless wench. Rest of the dinner was class though
This is literally the £10 question. The issue with the January window is that few transfers ever made during it have ever been an instant success. Usually it is better for a bedding in period to English football to prepare for next season. The other issue is the windows are largely a sellers market. You used to be able to negotiate for months, look at loads of targets, do due diligence and engage them all at once to drive down prices, but the windows came and desperation arrived. The only caveat is if a club wants rid of a player they have less time to get shot so they get desperate, but really it's hard for clubs like ours, or more to the point philosophies like ours. The biggest success we have had is loans, because the player has an incentive to shine in a short space and they are easy to accommodate because they are getting the same wages they had previously and there's no dressing room fallout. Signing a new team will not help, but signing someone short-term could kick start us like last season. It's less risk, so that's what I expect us to do. Prepare to be disappointed if you think there might be some bright new talent getting snapped up!
Rafa pretty much just confirmed there's **** all post match and there's no take over How many times ???
This comment is totally unacceptable. You actually chose a side of you hand. You disgust me. Slap first and then back hand. It’s the only way. You give men a bad name.........
