may as well get it out now haven't I. I'll be using that line a lot this afty. I can see us winning this one. Martin to score the winner 92nd minute. In off his fat arse.
Two down in the first 7 minutes. Work hard to come back for a point. One goal of the season contender, one arse deflection.
Regulation 4 nowt to us. Carry on climbing the table like a pack of black and amber assassins. No need to get new players in, we won’t be relegated, so all that’s important is new owners. 2019 is going to be pivotal for us as a club. You Ull.
Preston was the birthplace of the UK’s motorway network. In 1889, they won the league and the FA Cup without losing a game all season. They won the FA Cup 26 - 0. The word 'teetotal' was first used at a Preston Temperance Society meeting in 1833 The first KFC outside North America was built in Preston. Butch Cassidy was from Preston, and had a Lancashire accent. The Bash Street Kids and other Beano characters originate from Preston, as do Wallace and Gromit, with Wallace being based on a Preston teacher. The Bond Bug was produced in Preston.
I listened to a programme about Dundee the other day and they suggested that The Bash Street Kids was based on a local school opposite to the D.C. Thompson offices - apparently the pupils were famously "bolshy" having actually gone on strike at some point. One of Preston's favourite old boys in the early 60s was Alec Dawson who I think was born in Scotland but brought up in Hull. He played in the FA Cup Final when Preston lost 3-2 to West Ham in a game that was almost as good as City's against Arsenal.
Preston North End have a ticket office and they are opening it at 9am on Boxing Day to sell match day tickets, who would have thought it. This idea won't catch on with Ehab. Looking forward to the game, not sure on the score but who knows.
They call bread cakes ‘Barm Cakes’ in Preston. That floating nightclub is one thing Preston and Hull have in common - it spent time in Hull and Preston.
Junior’s away for the week and I’ve got roped into some family do on Boxing Day, so we’ll definitely win.

You two: the Dexter/Sinister, the half-full/half-empty, the optimist/pessimist, the Yin/Yang! Have a Happy/Crappy Xmas
Preston Guild is every 20 years. 'once every Preston Guild.' Pubs open all day when it used to be a novelty.
