What garbage, I know the Torries are bad for the country but it's hardly that extreme. We don't half exaggerate in this country. You won't know what you had until your liberties have gone. Then you'll have cause to whinge.

A bit deep for a football forum maybe. Maybe we should agree to disagree.

The tories are bad but the previous champagne socialists are just as bad. You might have limited liberty in this country but there is certainly no democracy. If you can't see the erosion of civil liberties going on in this country then perhaps you should look harder.

In short, let's agree to disagree.

I'm aware coppers and the various other authorities want to and try to curtail civil liberties. Cameras in town centres/ speed cameras are hardly the same as an organisation using brutish force against its people and a population living in fear of reprisals. Every country has a secret service it's just not used as a key kog in society, as say the Gestapo or the Stasi.

Anyway Imperial, when the facists come a knockin on my door and they take me away i'll try not to crack and dob you in. Big Brothers watchin' and all that.

Eh? The coppers do what they are told to do, same as you or I. There is no opting out of the system. There is no way to stand up to the state unless you want to get locked up.

The fascists won't come knocking on your door. They'll just slowly impoverish you into serfdom, in vain attempts at protecting their wealth and that of their corporate lobbyist overlords.

How are the Tories, or the Conservative Party to give them their full name, bad for the country?

They want what is best for the country. So what if some of them happen to own a bit more land than you or me? I believe that they deeply care about the future of our country, and the Labour lot care about their own selves.

Which is what gets us into this mess - there is a huge divide.

What the Conservatives believe in is allowing society to make their own decisions, individual responsibility, and trust in people going forward. Not dictating to them.

The aims and values are clearly laid out here.

If we are going to make every Britain proud to be British again, I think it takes the ideas proposed by that party.

How are these ideals bad for the country?

You worried about your fuel bill and heating your home this winter. Who sold off the Gas and Electric. THE TORYS. You worried about catching an infection if you go into hospital. Who force the NHS to contract out the cleaning THE TORYS, and what have they done to punish the people that really dropped us in the **** absolutly NOTHING. None of the major parties really listen to what the public want which is why the number of people that use their vote is so low and also why the likes of the BNP increase their share of the vote.

I think the meaning of Fascism has been lost on some of you, so here is information from Wikipedia to 'educate you' (no fascism involved).

Hmm, sounds like the second Iraq war / 45 minutes claim.

Hmm, sounds like council tax (well any tax).

    Sounds like Libya/Afghanistan.

Sounds like quantitative easing / PFI measures.

Sounds like the Lisbon treaty and the repeated attempts of forming the EUSR.

If you don't see the signs of this country being slowly turned into a totalitarian state, that will then be subsumed by the EU, then I doubt I can help you. Don't kid yourselves that voting red or blue makes any difference. They are merely puppets, doing the bidding of the super-rich oligarchs. As Oregon says, there are a very limited number of politicians who are in it for the right reasons, and most of them get corrupted by the power.
