I have just had another Pickled Onion roll. Not had one for years before tonight. Had Marmite and cheese in this one.
Don’t like pickled onion or the hot ones all that much tbh. Ideally I’d go brannigans ham and mustard, accompanied with 2 boxes of French fancy’s.
My ecstasy will be in the morning - just put the sourdough in the fridge to rise overnight. In the oven at 8, cool enough to eat about 9:30. Simple things make such a difference in life as in football. Vin
Yep, i've gone from "if we get beat at Derby so be it, we have bigger fish to fry" to checking hotels in the North London area in May in just a couple of matches.
That was just a very pleasant game. Liked the choice of players. Liked the formation and tactic. Liked the choice of captain. Liked how much more organized and confident we looked. Liked getting some youth in but worried a bit about the subs...but then that worked out just fine. So good for Hassenhuttl for proving me wrong. It shouldn't be that hard to do. The only things that gave me a bit if pause were that Huddersfield were embarrassingly awful so hard to ascertain how much credit to give Saints. And I think thst inevitably better teams will adjust to our tactics having seen them, and things will get harder. But even that makes me happy. There was a team that was total dogshit in the pitch... and it was not us! We took full advantage of the team that was crap to win easily, which us what teams that stay up do to teams that are going down. And we have tactics that teams actually have to adjust to! As opposed to just playing however they like and still winning. Maybe some teams will not be able to make the proper adjustments. Maybe we can prove flexible as well. Maybe this team is decent or even good? Who knows? It's possible, though too early to get your hopes up. But what have done since the managing change is shown ourselves to be easily capable of fulfilling the minimum requirements necessary for a PL team to stay up. And that's a nice change, a good start, and enough for now. Win a few games, get some momentum, and then we can start looking at how high we can go instead of how far we might fall.
Also worth noting that Ings on 7 PL goals now which is a good return seeing as he's had a few games out. Providing he stays fit he'll score 15+ imo.
Great to have a fan in the team too. Obafemi getting a goal was just the icing on the cake and I'm really pleased for him, deserves that.
I presume all those Santa hats being worn by the fans were provided by the club. Looked effective when they started waving them about after the third goal.
