The club has angered locals by protesting that the streets around its new £850m stadium are too dirty for fans and could damage its ambitions to establish “one of the world’s most unique entertainment venues”. “Spurs were very dismissive as to the current state/appearance of Tottenham and implied that this was not an acceptable environment for their new stadium and supporters.” Campaigner Martin Bell said: “The attitude of Spurs beggars belief and is insulting to the people of Tottenham." https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...FWzMOvdXmTZzhnKYj0eRKUCQulh6i5S1HGmcjxrfm_VcI

If they were that bothered about it, you'd think they would pay for the clean up that they are whinging about.
You'd think they might want to actually give something back to the local community. So yeah, paying for a clean up around the ground, rather than relying on cash-strapped Haringey Council, might be a nice gesture.
Haringey has suffered £280m of cuts over the last decade, yet a Spurs spokesman said that clean up was covered by their business rates.
A lot of North London is. Arsenal aren't arrogant enough to try and blame the local community for it though.
