Liverpool hot-shot Luis Suarez insists he is not worried about becoming a marked man from rival defences after lighting up the Premier League. Suarez has been a revelation at Anfield since arriving during the January transfer window from Ajax and he has carried the form he showed last season into the new campaign. The Uruguayan ace claims he is not worried about defenders doing their homework on him and he insists he does not feel under pressure to avoid second season syndrome. "I feel no pressure at all. In fact when a defender studies you, it almost makes it easier because you just don't do what he expects you to," Suarez told the club's official magazine. "If he thinks you are going to go to your right, you go to your left and so on, and you just keep switching it round so you are hard to read. To be honest, he is probably the most unpredictable player in the league. Very hard to do your homework on him. Also, seems genuinely unfazed by the interest in him from the media/pundits/fans. Some players say it but you get the feeling that he actually means it! Should score 15+ this season, if not 20!
There is a number of scenarios that strikers can adopt. 1. They are arrogant and foolish to think they don't have to adapt themselves due to defenders cottoning on them. 2. They fear defenders cottoning on them. 3. Or they do what Luis Suarez has just done and instead of calling it a problem...he calls it a challenge. That for is the best option. Don't be arrogant, nor be afraid, relish the challenge and show defenders they haven't seen anything yet.
We were nothing without Alonso. Gerrard and Torres were nothing without that initial defence or midfield splitting pass giving them time and space on the ball. This is half the reason both of their goals dried up last year.

so in others don't do what you want to do, do something else you might not want to do to do something they think you might do to do the other thing. Got it. I think him having a free role helps this too by the way, not really bound to any sides, which allows him to exploit those gaps and get that time and space to operate.
When he played for Ajax and he scored 30 something goals (Poss more) the whole league knew what he could do but still they could not cope.He will find a way through it would not surprise me if he done the same this season Time will tell
I reckon he's the sort of personality that relishes the challenge of defenders studying him and attempting to work him out. I also reckon he would be rather upset if they didn't. Enthusiastic people like him love a challenge. I reckon he would be out of English football within a couple of years if he felt he wasn't being challenged. Tommy Smith recently said that Suarez reminds him a lot of Kevin Keegan, Keegan was the same sort of infectious, enthusiastic footballer, not with the same level of skill and thats a sure thing, but in terms of personality. Keegan left Liverpool because he needed a challenge. So in a nutshell, the more obstacles put in Luis Suarez way, the better he will become. In other words what he's saying to defenders is.....''Bring it on''.
