its an half five kick off FFS. It's not worth picking a line up as I never know who's fit and who's not. As long as Campbells up front we'll be reet. Our run will continue. FACT Some stats for the weirdos Hull's defensive options for Saturday's 17:30 GMT kick-off against Swansea have been boosted with the returns of Reece Burke and Jordy de Wijs. The Tigers have taken eight points from their past four matches. Swansea centre-back Mike van der Hoorn should be able to play after recovering from a virus. Dan James (hamstring) is back in the squad, while former Tottenham midfielder Tom Carroll is close to full fitness after a hip problem. Match facts Hull will be hosting Swansea in a match in the second-tier for just the second time during the 21st century, with the only other such meeting coming back in August 2010 when the Tigers ran out 2-0 winners. Swansea have lost six of their last seven visits to Hull in all competitions (W1), failing to score in five of those matches. Hull City have had seven different scorers in the Championship this season - a joint-league low alongside Blackburn. Following three successive defeats, Swansea have won back to back league games - they last won three in a row in May 2017 in the Premier League. Hull have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four home league games, as many as in their previous 14 combined. Swansea have won as many away league games in their last three attempts (2), as they did in the previous 16 put together (W2 D7 L7).
During World War 2 in Swansea, an Australian took the mickey out of an American for not drinking alcohol, and it ended up in a fight. The American became a boxer after the war and became the world heavyweight champion known to all as Rocky Marciano. The Gower Peninsula was designated the first Area of Outstanding Beauty in 1956. The name Swansea is nothing to do with swans. It derives from Sweines ey (or Island) and is thought to be named after a Viking invader. From the late 18th century until well into the Victorian era, Swansea was nicknamed ‘Copperopolis’ due to the huge volume of the material manufactured in the city. In 1823 the first ever human fossil was discovered near Swansea in the Gower Peninsula. The Red Lady of Paviland (who is actually a man) dates back over 33,000 years Vetch Field is was formerly a patch of land owned by Swansea Gaslight Company used for growing vegetables, hence the name. In 1923 they became the first Welsh side to head overseas on tour and in 1961, they became the first Welsh club to play in Europe in the Cup Winners Cup. Ossie Ardiles played his first game in the English leagues against Swansea, and was substituted after a typical Tommy Smith tackle nearly made it his last. In 1991, Swansea played Monaco in the European Cup Winners Cup, which resulted in Monaco's manager Arsene Wenger making his first interview in English.
Hard one to call this, they seem to be picking up after a slow start, though we are also on the up, probably a draw, but hopeful of a win.
My Swans mate has already thanked me for the 3 points. I told him we'd get 4 goals to their none, and our fans will do the mauled chant. You Ull.
Sounds like one of those premonition thingies that can only happen in a Universe where everything is pre-determined and ultimately destined to happen regardless of the impact of any external influences. I'm lumping a tenner on that. Ta.
Second week in a row I fancy us to win , this is starting to feel like 07/08 again - timing our run to perfection to peak in May . Either that or 0-0
The first one would probably be my luck, hence why I stand by a passed-on maxim of 'never underestimating anybody' - or at least I try to. Secondly, used to be quite interesting when the lower tiered Welsh clubs would play in Europe. Seem to recall Merthyr Tydfil having a decent run in the 80s. Though, I think they outlawed the English League ones from qualifying via the Welsh Cup in the 90s or early 2000s. Much thigh slaps all round when Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch played too.
its been a good afternoon so far.... we're not losing but I think all these below us are dropping points..
I want those ABOVE us to be dropping points. I'm not usually so optomistic - but then again I've supported City for 50 years!
