When I left one of the schools I worked at, I got a Saints kit signed by the current team. This was back in the late 90's. As I couldn't read any of the names I just assumed that the cleaners, ground staff or trainees were told to scribble any name until there were 11.

Yep there was a Senior and Junior...:)

I think that the one that looks like Alan Ball on the second page might actually be Mick Mills.

    WB Whiteley btw.

Could one of the signatures actually be Ian Baird. (That looks like a second Alan Ball)

No, I think that the letter that looks like a "B" is a "K" with a flourish Beddy personally.

Think you will find the one under Paul Gilchrist is the great Mickey Channon, Ill get back to you on the one under Stevie Williams, I recognize the signature but can't remember who's it is.
Think the best signature I've ever seen was that of the late Bobby Moore, immaculate signature, immaculate player?

Ok, this has clarified matters a little, it looks like the one on the second page is actually the genuine one.

Here is another example of Bally's sig...

As for the one on the first page, i'm taking a stab at Alan Curtis considering the period that it was written.

The mere mention of Alan Ball´s name brings tears to my eyes. How I loved the guy as footballer, manager and a person. He was extremely loyal to his teams as a player, manager and faithful to his friends. He would be horrified with today´s histrionics a la Delli Ali et al!!

I have to say Ides that he was a very special man. He was my boss once and he was just so passionate about the game and his people.

    Much missed.

I've got a feeling the Glenn Cockrill one is Mick Mills. Pretty sure I was told that. His signature seems to differ a lot from his Ipswich to Saints days. Here's a Saints one.

Thanks everyone. If anyone knows whether that is Alan Curtis as suggested by SA let me know. It looks like a good shout but I'm having trouble finding a signature to match it to. That's the last one. <cheers>

Pretty sure it's not Alan Curtis. I used to collect autographs many, many years ago and the remaining signature is familiar to me but I'm struggling to identify it.
