Agreed - but it's only media pundits that have quoted £40m. I honestly believe that IF there was a starting point (and I don't believe that there is anything likely to be acceptable to the club) then it would start at 4 or 5 times that amount. It has to be comparable to a 'star' player. But for now, have faith buddy!!
Starting point has to be one stadium, and then only if Poch is determined to go, which I think is unlikely.
Press officer will be earning his keep the next few months...I don’t think the hacks are going to look upon us with any more fondness than before by the time this is done!
"This is going to carry on for months" says the hack, somehow failing to comprehend that he's the only person whose job it is to keep it carrying on for months
I think it is the Spurs press officer who says "this is going to carry on for months", so basically shut the fek up and let's start discussing Tottenham.
Does this count as an official statement from the club about the rumours? please log in to view this image
If Utd do get Paul Mitchell as a first ever DoF (another rumour) that might have some significance.......
Surprisingly good article from Martin Samuel at the DM on the situation https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ining-Manchester-Uniteds-unstable-empire.html
Good to see John McDermott there, deserves so much recognition for the way he’s producing so many players for the first team.
Besides, I thought Man Utd have learnt their lesson and will no longer deal with Daniel Levy as they found him to be a fantastic negotiator!
http://www.espn.co.uk/soccer/totten...have-more-faith-in-me-and-the-club-pochettino Weird time to have a dig at fans.
It was Poch who got rid of Mitchell according to Graham Roberts so I agree, it will be significant. He won't be going anywhere near ManUre if they appoint Mitchell.
Personally I think it's justified.... As he says, much either comes direct from or regurgitated through the media, but we well know that there is a small but very vocal minority (inc. within the THST) that are overly critical of the situation. We DO need to have a more collective belief in Poch and the 'project'. Is it perfect? No - but it's feckin' good - the most consistently impressive level of performance arguably since the 60's and on the brink of moving to a new home, the best stadium in Europe!! Yes, there have been some odd decisions along the way. Poch hasn't go it all right for sure. But a darn sight more right than wrong. The examples he quotes are interesting however. Didn't hear too many complaints about Ben playing at CB against Burnley - the cupboard was otherwise bare and he has played there for Wales. Equally, Gazza was received positively as I recall... Can't recall any loud mutterings at the time. We are fans, so we'll always have opinions and the odd moan. But lets just continue to support and enjoy the ride - it's bloody good in my experience COYS!!
