This makes me laugh. His record in percentages at Man U is nigh on identical with that of Sir Alex Ferguson. His stats as manager of Man U far exceed those of Klopp at Liverpool, even with the way this season is going for both teams. And the ****e you see from the telly remote season pass holders of both clubs...
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Man Utd to confirm interim manager after website post. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46612442
Man United have confirmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their caretaker manager and Mike Phelan as first team coach on a deal until the end of the 2018-19 season.
What a throwback, United chucking Solskjaer on when all seems lost and hoping he'll nick them something.
Good luck to Mike Phelan at Man U, disgracefully treated while he was with us by the owners. Beating Leicester on the opening day was a highlight of recent years. Him. Silva. Slutsky and now 'Nige', quite a downward spiral in recent years manager wise.
It's true Scousers have won 0 under klopp Man ure still won a european trophy and a league cup? Guess top 4 is the real trophy
Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League and in the past two seasons got the finals of the League Cup, the Europa League and the Champions League. He might not have actually won anything yet, but that's unlikely to remain the case for much longer.
Agree 100% with the 1st 2 sentences. But not with the final one. I hope we have good new owners soon (#obvs) and that Nige gets the chance with proper backing. Phelan, Slutz and Nige have all been treated disgraceful by our ****ish owners.
So... Two blokes who failed spectacularly when asked to manage Premier League clubs. Who were way out of their depth with Cardiff and us. And now some joker has the bright idea of putting them in charge of one of the biggest clubs in the world. Who are currently sinking like a really heavy rock. This ain't gonna end well, folks.
They have wrote of this season! They are there because of their links to the club and the fact that they know it inside out. Nothing more nothing less. The new technical director and manager will be in place for next season and beyond
Phelan got dealt a truly **** hand by the owners- doubt Guardiola, Klopp etc would have got much of a tune out of half a squad like Phelan was supposed to. Despite 'failing spectacularly'. he got a Manager of the Month award and got us to the League Cup SFs for the only time in our history.
Phelan might have been dealt a **** hand but he managed to get almost the same number of points Bruce managed by Christmas in the season he got us relegated and with only half the squad - yet apparently Phelan's a useless **** and Bruce is the best manager we've ever had - strange that
