Rafa is too defensive minded to be considered by them in my opinion. Think they'll either look at Wenger or Poch although Poch would cost them about £40m i reckon + whatever payoff they're giving Jose which won't be insignificant.

No surprise Mourinho has gone, obviously lost the dressing room and they are struggling to get to grips with his system - players playing out of position and has had to keep changing tactic during the game. The Liverpool defeat was toothless and they never looked like getting anything from it.

I'd be surprised to see Rafa go there but they have said they'll get an interim manager in until the end of the season so Rafa on a free would be appealing to them. Would he go there having managed Liverpool though? Would the Scouser's forgive him for that? Think Pochettino is the likely replacement there if he doesn't win anything at Spurs this year.

Jose obviously has a lot of time for NUFC with the Sir Bobby link and name dropped us in his pre-match presser over the weekend. Would anyone take that switch of managers? Not that Jose would come here - we run to tight a ship and he wouldn't be able to spend here but hypothetically I would take him, think he would continue in the same vein Rafa has and set us up defensively so might be a good match for him - can't see him getting a TOP job either after being sacked at Real, Chelsea and Man U, both times at Real and Man U he's lost the dressing room and fallen out with the big stars. Maybe a club just outside of the top teams in Italy, Spain, or England would take him or maybe a return to Portugal? Just to clarify I don't expect Jose to be arriving at SJP any time soon <laugh>

What bookies are you looking at? He's not even listed on Skybet.

    It's obvs gonna be Zidane.

I will miss Mourinho, not on a football basis of course, just for not being able to laugh at the boring whiny **** anymore.

Well to be fair Alan Pardew is an option on SkyBet at only 100/1, so anything is possible....

It won't be Rafa <laugh> One negative stop the opposition manager to the next? One with a Liverpool background? One who's had countless run ins with MUFC? I don't think so. Although I'm not sure Mick has removed his tongue from his cheek, think it may be lodged.

Almost certain to be Zidane by start of next season. Rest of the season?

There is only one choice for manager, Sam Allardyce. He said himself he should be managing Real Madrid. I know Man U is a step down from that but I'm sure he would lower his standards a bit now he's out of work

I don’t see why they dont go for Zidane now. Give hom the rest of the season to bed in and maybe get them playing attacking football and nick a Champions League spot.

Think all they need is a manager the players will respect and who lets them express themselves. He would be ideal.

In reality though it should be Eddie Howe. He's done all the hard yards and has done a stellar job in the PL with Bournemouth. He plays modern attacking and entertaining football.

His problem is though that he is English so he'll have no hope. I'm sure its the lack of CL experience. That he can't get because the likes of them won't appoint him.

Never in a million years, they took their chances with an up and coming manager who'd done a good job at a smaller club with Moyes, they're only going to go for big name world famous managers now.

Solskjaer currently favourite for caretaker manager, he's no longer baby faced and looks rather like Mourinho now.

John Carvers is the world's best coach. He would be perfect for them!
