Yeah, that's how I read it. Quite impressed by Ryan there, actually. Taking out three ex-managers all at one go. (Now if it can lead to the real Ryan returning, we really would start meaning business again.)
TBF I'd be frustrated with the managerial style of Pellegrino and Hughes. It's been reported that training was like a holiday camp under Hughes FFS. I think Ryan could be a very important player under Ralph.
I'm just saying that it was a bit unnecessary to air his opinion in public IMO, those men have lost their jobs now and he should get on with it.
Can’t please everyone, I like seeing players have passion for the club. Nice to see it, especially as he gets accused of not caring by loads of fans
Oh man if Ryan is fired up with a point to prove, then we've got a hell of a player coming back into the team in a couple of weeks time.
On reflection I might be being a bit harsh on Ryan, but I remember at the time of Puel's sacking Beefy suggesting that he might've been one of the senior players that were expressing dissatisfacion and that had a bearing on the board's decision to sack him. Words are always cheap to me and I would much rather see performances on the pitch from the players.
Wasn’t the first thing people said when Hughes arrived was we did much more training on the ball etc?
I also thought Bertie was just glad that finally we'd got a reward for effort. We had games that we should and could have got results from....Hughes had no luck at all....though that may be related to poor fitness levels. Interesting thought that it would have been easy for us to have got more points if things had just gone our way (for whatever reason) and Mark would still be here. Would Saints have sacked Hughes because the football was uninteresting...they'd done that before with Puel. It was the fear of relegation...on top of uninteresting football that got Hughes sacked.
Whilst I generally believe you earn your luck, good or bad, I was beginning to think we'd run over a black cat, swerved under a ladder, and crashed into a mirror.
