Hopefully Bielsa is saying to Orta “This is why we need to spend in January” we need to stop relying on Izzy Brown and urgently be looking at someone we can do our homework on now and get the signature over the line the week the transfer window opens
maybe the wrong time to be saying Orta is responsible for most of this team getting tanked by Barnsley.
Hopefully then we'll see Harrison start out wide and Pablo in the number 10 position, Bamford as a super sub again.
So brown has got another injury yet he started with a strapping on?. So thats that then hes never going to play. What a waste of time hes been. Is halme the answer or do we need to spend. My position has never changed on needing quality additiins. As for Harrison perhaps he does look good in U23s games..
Chesh we can argue about Orta all you want but for me he has done a fantastic job, and put our club on a great footing for the future. Radz has backed him and he is working with a limited budget. Of course you are always right but Most of us khat bollox too.
Good news for Brown which backs up Bielsa plan of easing Brown back in gradually as soon as he has learnt how to twist and turn again. He had a hamstrung strapped today and he came off because of a tight hamstring. All in a days work for getting back to full fitness
No, he had a poor game although he was starved of services & the conditions didn't help his cause I think Roofe will start No
Sounds like he's still on the path to recovery. Sometimes it's never straightforward when you've been out a while. He won't be the first player in this situation to pick up a string of seemingly unrelated injuries on the way to fitness. It happens.
But hes supposed to be ready very soon. Thing is i think hes just a waste of time. We need to send him back and use our staff on others who can actually run.
WJ I can't understand why he played any part at all when his hamstring was heavily strapped from the start. You can't just run off that sort of injury, you just make it worse. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever
Me neither, but then we're not physios, are we? I note that it was a 'tight' hamstring. Not a tear. Players do play with a tight hamstring. Have a look how many wear cycle shorts. It's not a fashion statement (and it's not JUST for tight hamstrings, I know).
No we're not physios but from personal experience whenever I tried playing with a tight hamstring, even with it strapped up, you end up overcompensating with the other leg and injuring that one, as well as making the original injury worse It's not as if it was an important game either, supposedly in the u23s the performance outweighs the result, so why take the risk?
Izzy Brown out of action for the next few weeks at least, but could have been a lot worse. Looks like its just precaution.
Rob Price and Tom Robinson are at the top of their profession. If they had any doubt, Brown would not be risked
