Morning, team. Hope everyone well. I say has it all been ‘kicking ‘orf’ on here again. What, what?!? Look what happens without my calming influence. I must say though that I read the back end of Saturday’s thread whilst chortling uncontrollably.

Nothing for me today but am greatly looking forward to the chasing bow of OK Corral later. Although he’s pushing 9 now which is hardly the ideal age to commence a career over the big ‘uns. Mixed emotions for me in the heat as well as the Waley-Cohen’s have the 2nd fave – although the forum’s favourite Corinthian not on board. ‘Touchy’ Fehily takes over.

Best performance of the weekend, peope??? Has to be Rock’s Treasure 17 length romp in a Grade 2 novice chase, for me. And who beat that one with ease last time when only 75% fit?!? Santini, troops. Take note. Greatness has a new name and that is Santini.

    Good luck all.

Chuckles what’s your view on needle withdrawing horses on the day at HQ because of the ground (which was the same they were declared on)?

I say old boy that’s a bit aggressively worded for you. Am somewhat shocked.

Do you mean OK Corral on Saturday??? Was quite surprised they were going there to be honest for a chasing bow as a nice spin around Plumpton would have been my pick anyway (plus if he wins there he qualifies for a chance for that £60k bonus). Maybe he was only ever going to go if Jenkins didn’t – I don’t know. But to answer your original question the Lieutenant is where he is in our sport because he sees things differently and his view is so much superior to everyone else’s. Was the going really unchanged?!? Personally I wouldn’t trust a word uttered by any senior Cheltenham Racecourse employee.

I was also thinking about the novice hurdler on the Friday. He seems to be wrapping them up in cotton wool again, which is frustrating to say the least.

Yeah, wouldn’t disagree with that. But then again giving the better ones (or the perceived better ones) just a couple of runs before the Spring Festivals seems par for the course these days across the whole NH sphere.

Interesting horse that Angel’s Breath owned in partnership by the 11th richest man in Wales and Ron Bartlett. Could finally debut at Grade 2 level on Friday.

One more thing about this weeks racing I had been looking forward to seeing Hazzaar make his hurling bow at Newbury on Wednesday. But you now have to wonder if this is going to happen as they have also put him in Ascot's Listed bumper, on Friday (with Aidan Coleman booked). Very confusing as does this mean he will be staying in Bumpers all season?!? Await with interest to see which entry, if any, Hazzaar takes up this week.

Seeing how the Skeltons have been operating my eye has been taken by MERCERS TROOP in the 2.35 Plumpton. Couple of runs haven't resulted in too much but today he's down in grade, had a break and has since had a wind op. I'm sure I saw in the racing post he had a bigger mark than the Fav when racing on the flat too. Just seems to tick plenty of boxes for me, so at 9/1 I will go ew.

    Drifting, now 14's

Nice to see Ok Corral start with a win. Let’s hope the race sponsors are ‘good eggs’ and give the winning trainer a decent sample of their wares.

    Anyone see the race??? Comments.

Second favourite was so dodgy it wasn’t really a race. Ok hit one and was a shade lucky not to lose his jockey. 6 out of 10
