Thing is, they have spent already. It's not like they have been penny pinching.

Just throwing money at it won't work, especially as city and Chelsea and to a lesser extent us can offer the same money and not such a **** show.

They need a truly inspiring choice for the next manager, not just another one of the usual suspects.

They need someone unexpected, someone who will see it as a project. Ancellotti, although a fine manger is another one on the merry go round, just seems to swap clubs every few years

Invested in sky & by for this season - Listening to Neville’s drivel - trying to hide his bias is entertaining knowing the outcome
Hope there is mnf this week lmao

The state of #bbcsalford when Alisson made a "massive mistake" (definitely not a "lucky deflection" like all our goals were)

Meanwhile #worldclass De Gea has finally taken a break from throwing in 2 goals a game to start throwing in 3 goals a game

It looked worse than it was, especially as it was so much against the run off play.

It properly knocked us back as well. Let utd back in and we weren't the same untill half time

Indeed, money has to be spent wisely and 'vanity signings' need avoiding

I would call it a 'understandable mistake'

Its not like he threw the ball onto the forwards foot, or palmed a ball heading out back across the goal line

Utd want success straight away again, plus the board still want the club to be a big brand.

Pogba and Sanchez where brand signings, get the people to buy the merchandise, regardless of how they fit in with the managers plans

Listen, you take away the "united".... that was pretty much just us against another mid table team that sets up not to lose and hopes we **** up...

Last couple of years we always believed not only would it happen but we'd fold when it did...

Now? It happens but we now remember we are against a mid table team and if we convert we will win...

As fans we have untied in our heads but it's not this United....this united is Bournemouth etc

There is no doubt both are world class, if de gea had left utd 3 seasons back they would be really in the ****, he's saved them so many times.

There is nothing he can do with that shambles in front of him though. Comes to something when you only bring your best CB on because Chris ****ong smalling hot injured.

On Allison, you could say anything to him and I reckon all you'd get is a shrug, maybe a raised eye brow if it was really serious. I don't think pressure comes into it.

True this Frank. I bet I wasn't the only one who thought "oh **** me, not again" when they scored.

It showed on the team as well, they where definitely shakier after the goal.

It was good to see them come out in the second half, not really panic and you peg them back in. Keep going like we have against the other lower premium teams untill they break.

Wth did they show then cos united only got into our box twice? Once for the goal and once when fellaini volleyed it out for a throw and hit a steward.

It was exactly as I predicted. Mid table team, going through a tough patch. Rudderless with a manager who seems to be disrespected by both players and executives.

The thing is that they have been inconsistent since Ferguson retired. With their money sooner or later they'll get a manager who fits. Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho all had flaws and so did many of their top players. They were excellent players but when they played for the mancs they turned mediocre. Classic example of the reverse Midas touch. We should enjoy it and make hay as I can't see them being so **** for ever.
