Right now I'm not one for getting carried away but where do we want to go in Europe next season?

 

Feel sorry for Arsenal, what can man do in the face of the fearsome crossing prowess of Nathan Redmond and Shane Long? Nevermind The Eastleigh Maldini.

Funny how quickly things can completely flip on their heads, and how a bit of intent can bring about that change. Let's hope we can utilise the power of momentum in the right direction for the first time in about 3 years eh?

On a serious note, what a result.

Huge to get a win at home against a good side and will do wonders for our mentality that we fought off a fight back twice instead of collapsing.

I'll stick with what I said last week in that get a defender or two in and keep our front line fit and we should be fine.

 

Well, that ****ing sucks

With a makeshift backline, I had a bad feeling we would come unstuck in this game and wasn't proven wrong.

However, can't complain about the result. We were horribly bad and you guys were clearly up for the fight. We weren't closing down spaces or pressing like we usually do. Part of that was down to the team selection, part of it was maybe because of fatigue from how much running we've done in previous games. I think Emery made some big tactical mistakes, but you guys won't care about that.

Hassenhuttl's subs made a huge difference. Austin and Long literally changed the game with their running and high energy.

I will praise Emery when he gets things right, but he got things horribly wrong today.

Today unfortunately demonstrated that Koscielny is finished at this level. How can one player be responsible for conceding 3 goals?!

Hasenhuttl's clearly drilled into your players what he expects from them and it seems to be working already.

Ings was superb, as was Redmond and Hojberg. Thought that 20 year old lad had a great game too.

I said before that I facking hate when we come to your ground, and clearly you can see why no matter how bleak things look, we always seem to give you leg up when the chips are down.

Don't want to make too many excuses though. Football's a squad game. Sometimes you just need to give the opposition credit for being better on the day and you guys were.

 

The biggest difference today was the commitment and fitness levels - already look much better!

 

Great performance and great energy. at last!

Thanks for your kind and gracious words, it has been so long since any of us have had much to cheer about. I was surprised given your decent run how Arsenal petered out, however maybe injuries played their part. Good luck for the rest of the season !

 

Well there we go... Good work from ALL the defenders chosen today, just need Rom to be a bit more alert with his passing and possession. A good weekend for a very pleasant change... Onwards and upwards !
