in the absence of Cottager I'll do my best to do his usual matchday threads justice, so here goes....

At his press conference Ranieri confirmed that Le Marchand and Anguissa are definitely out of this one, everyone else is available. Not sure if this would also include McDonald, or is he more long term? The manager said its important to show aggression in these games, it is a London derby afterall, but warned its just as important to stay calm and not get carried away.

We'll be coming up against a team in good form at the moment, having won their last three games in a row, Pellegrini finally starting to get the best out of this team. Having said that they are going through something of an injury crisis at the moment and will be without several players for this game. Manuel Lanzini, Winston Reid, Andriy Yarmolenko, Carlos Sanchez, Sam Byram and Ryan Fredericks are all nursing long-term injuries, while Marko Arnautovic and Jack Wilshere will be unavailable as they continue to receive treatment for hamstring and ankle problems respectively.

Taking injuries into consideration I'll have a go at predicting our team. I'd guess Bryan would come in at left back in a straight swap for MLM. As for the midfield and forward line, Kamara has been scoring goals of late so could he start? Personally I think he will be on the bench but hes a good option to bring on if we're chasing the game later on. So heres my team...

    ...........................Rico..............
    ..Christie.....Odoi.......Mawson...Bryan....
    ..................Seri..Chambers......
    ......Schurrle......Cairney........Sess.....
    .................Mitrovic........

    Strong effort, Fabio!

Not sure we'll miss Anguissa and I really want Bryan to get a run in the first team. I suspect that we'll be targeting a RB & a CB in January, but for now it is up to Christie & Odoi to continue showing they have a future here. You team is the one I'd pick, with Kamara as an impact sub.

It's a really big game against a good midtable team. I suspect that one way or another, the rest of our season will be a little clearer tonight.

    Watched the game yesterday.
To be honest you played some good stuff which belies your position, but your confidence looks shot.
7 of us getting separated from the rest. It's going to be an interesting mini league.

    Here's my tenpence worth.
Get rid off Seri Angussia combine fee to get someone like Fabregasse from Chelsea put a young set off legs round him to do the donkey work (Johansen Mensah)
Then sort out defence lots of Danish German players seem to adapt quickly to Prem.
If Mitro is wanting away then go for someone of Giroud Welbeck(injury) out the box Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Wow, some big names in there, and some big salaries to carry if you get relegated.
After shelling out over £100m in the summer, is your owner going to open the piggy bank again?.
We'll be shopping in a different store from you. Haven't got that sort of cash to be splashing.

Saturday's game was lost by our poor defending again. I watched the game again yesterday and we played well on the whole. It must be so frustrating for all our good play to be undone in seconds by just basic poor defending. West Ham defended well and played a good tight game once we gifted them the lead. We make it so hard for ourselves.

We certainly need signings in January if we are going to have a chance. There's players that can go which will hopefully recoup some of the money, Anguissa and Seri to name just two.

For my mind its no use going for another Kamara type player and hope he has the quality. You need Premier class players who are respected and who the opposition will be weary that they can turn a game around in a second.
If you can get Champions league teams needing to strengthen their squad with players of potential like a Seri or Angussia we might not get that greater lose and still be able to purchase a Fabregase type player .
The only downside is can these players react to a relegation struggle when they aren't use to it.
